I love Willy but the most I could see us offering would be like 5/125 and he’s probably getting closer to like 6/180-200
There is no reason why we can’t do an absurdly delayed payout contract.
I personally would only offer him a $20-$25 million contract for 1 year. He seems like the type of player who will decline sharply in the next 2-4 years and isn’t worth the risk for a big contract. The only upside is the DH now an option in the NL
