  1. I gotta agree with you guys about Arber. I love him but…I don't know how you look Struble in the eye and tell him he didn't play well enough to stay on the roster over Arber

  2. Not sure what replay you saw but, stutzle stick hit himself in the head . Grieg punched Dach in the head, so we say the Habs need to have a pack mentality, but when they do we get upset, so Arber stays,

  3. x is the sheriff and if he has to protect his midgets he will ps i blame the refs they are the problem mtl ownes the pentaly box and the refs dont like mtl and some of the refs are starting to be notice and the worst one is hebert as he hates mtl

  4. This team needs to send a message that if you go after our skilled players then we will do the same. The refs don't seem capable of doing their jobs. There are too many cowards in today's NHL who will lay a dirty hit and refuse to face the music. Next time someone like Greig takes a run at one of our top guys and gets nothing for it, I want retribution. Eventually the message will sink with these meat heads from teams like Ottawa. I am sick and tired of the Habs being on the receiving end of this BS and turning the other cheek. It's an eye for an eye until the other teams learn their lesson. The refs suck and the league doesn't give a crap.

  5. Marty can’t fix the referees but he can help Xhekaj make better decisions. Burying a diver and dummying a noncombatant were not good decisions. Officials keep an extra close eye on Xhekaj because he is so tough. It’s important for him to improve on this type of decision.

  6. I have no problem with Arber's penalty. I have absolutely no problem losing a silly preseason game. We just lost 2 players and we at least have one guy who will make heads roll when our stars get cheap shots. Other teams need to know this. Thanks Wifi!!!

  7. To shift convo from the thuggery, Habs PP has been abysmal to state the obvious. Their 6 on 5 however, has been quite outstanding. Maybe there a key to the PP in there somewhere, some grit.

  8. The one thing I would say in defence of Arber is that he did not start the problems in either game and it's preseason where points don't matter.

  9. When does this fall on the head coach shoulders. Montreal needs tougher players up front.
The concerns i have is Marty is taken on too much. they need. Lane is not the solution yet. can't pile on to much to soon.
Marty does seem to make adjustments . it's the same pass the puck, pass it some more. get 1 shot on net. also we have 5 guys they have 4 we are out numbered. thanks Kevin, Halifax NS

  10. I'm so torn on the Arber conversation because when I watched the game when I woke up this morning I had the exact same feelings you did. I was livid with him but as I calmed down and read more I understand why he's doing it. We're no longer a small team but we do have pretty soft players. Yes Struble threw a good hit and is supposed to be strong but even last year he barely got involved in any of the rougher stuff, in fact he faded as the year went on and the NHL caught up with him. Then you have Anderson who looks worried about protecting his face at all costs. Sure Dach fought someone not in his class but you won't see Dach get involved if Arber is on the bench or someone of his size. Who can they count on Pez, who might play 25 games?

Arber literally cannot win, if he becomes the avenger he's slated and if he does nothing he gets slated. Look at last year, you mentioned yourselves that he was more measured. We found out that was because of his shoulder, but at the time lots of people kept saying it was because Marty had pulled the rug from underneath him. From Marty's comments this year it seems he also thinks we are a bit soft. I was very surprised to hear him defend Arber this time. I watched every game in the Panthers run to the cup last year and they would demolish us physically over 7 games because they have so much depth in people that will push back. Maybe sending Arber down is needed to get the others to step up, maybe having to be the one to answer the call all the time is affecting his game. I've listen to George Laraque say how it got in his mind knowing he would have to fight X and Y on various teams. Can't be easy knowing he has to go against Ottawa then Reaves and be the protector.

  11. I have no problem with Xhekaj sending a message to the Sens and the Leafs. especially since it was a pre season game and doesn’t even count. I’m fed up of teams taking liberties on our players.

  12. At first i thought for sure Xekahj deserved a suspension but the camera angle where we actually see the contact. he does not even touch the head at all and it's Stuzle's stick that clips him in the face makes this the same a Greig's hit but with worst visuals so a 2 minutes interference would of been amply enough. But to calm the game i was okay with the ejection not with a suspension

  13. talk about missing the bus…. "dangerous play" ??? holy shit WOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHHHHH. the people who made this video are the same who would abolish fighting in ALL of hockey and ruin it for the rest of us.
