I never looked too closely at these scorecards before but that ump zone is dumb regardless of accuracy. Get robo umps please. Idk how a player is supposed to do well with a Lima bean zone

8 walks is bad and you gotta look at the ump analytics when you have 8 in the playoffs. Brutal
Why yes the two worst calls involved Torres getting on base and the PA where Torres scored on a walk. Shocker.
From how much whining there was on Twitter, you’d thought the 8th and 9th were all missed calls. It’s fucking unbearable to always be blaming umps.
None bigger than the “safe” call in my opinion. Wasn’t the HP umpire though.
Kind of what I expected. Now we just need to see the scorecard from the replay center.
IF you were going to rig a game, or try to influence it, you would try to make bad calls both ways as evenly as you can. But you would call them against the team you’re wanting to lose in the bigger moments.

Im referring to the lightest pink in the diagram, that fills almost all of the box.
He called a damn good game. Very tight strike zone. He did miss a couple though I will admit
