  1. Waiting to watch the meltdown in here if this is to make space for Watson instead of Kasper

  2. This is a good move considering the sunk cost, but also unfortunate that it occurs only a year into the three year contract. There’s been too many longer term contracts that have turned out to be negative value.

  3. OUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED BOYS.

How does his salary work if he’s in the AHL? Ain’t no one claiming this dude lol.

  4. Well that is certainly a move. A welcomed move. Best wishes to Holl I do hope he can have some success where he is… San Jose? uuhhhhhh okay then.

  5. It would be nice is he gets claimed by San Jose. That will make the Walman trade make sense.

  6. This was always the most likely outcome when Kasper played so well. 13 forwards, 7 defencemen, 3 goalies.

  7. The best thing he did for Detroit was cockblock Edvinsson from keeping #3 (boring) and forcing him to take #77 (much cooler)

  8. Steve has never shown a hesitation to dump players. In a place where people trust him a lot I’m not sure why anyone is surprised

  9. Now if Husso keeps playing as well as he did in pre-season, maybe someone will take on that contract. Although, Lyon is far and away the most tradable.

  10. Even if I don’t want him on the roster, it’s still an “oof” when you see it happen

  11. Feel bad for him since he seems like a really good person and it’s not his fault they offered him too much. But also don’t feel bad since he’s making that money.

Really doubt anyone will take him especially with two years. The only hope looking through capwages briefly might be San Jose (please be part of the Walman deal) and Chicago is low on right shots. But again highly doubt they’d want him

  12. Buh-bye. Needed to happen. Especially with the young guns showing what they bring to the table in the preseason. Time is now!
