We’re not afraid of him

Can’t wait for Monday

  1. I am pleased to see that Jose our star absolutely mashes Skubal. Jose seemed like a much better righty this year.

  2. He’s very good, but Tigers fans and some media penciling him in as an auto win is laughable. They just played and Tigers had zero runs for Christ sake

  3. I am, and that’s okay, I think. Basically, I’m at peace with losing that one and not getting a sweep if it comes to it.

  4. Doesn’t matter how good Skubal is if Detroit can’t score on us either. I’m comfortable with Boyd out there to at least keep us afloat to give the bullpen a chance to shut it down

  5. The boys just have to be patient and make him pitch in the strike zone. Would be nice to see them get him high in pitch count early to get him out of there. But we aren’t scared.

  6. Ten hits and a walk against Skubal and that’s before lefty Killer Thomas was on the team. That only resulted in one run in seven innings, but that’s going to be multiple runs more times than not.

Thomas and Fry crush lefties. Jose has been much better against lefties this year and obviously he was good against righties as it is.

Skubal absolutely could shut the offense down. If he’s on then it’s good night. That’s true of just about every pitcher though. Skubal is obviously more likely to be on, but I like our chances of getting to him at least once. Hopefully, that’s game two instead of a potential game five.

  7. I mean, he is good. Just gotta stay patient, wait for good pitches, and get those pitches up. Hopefully get a run or two, and let our bullpen do their thing.

  8. Big game tomorrow. I don’t want to give up home field and have to see Skubal again possibly.

  9. TBS couldn’t stop frothing at the mouth over him yesterday, before during and after the game. I get he’s the Cy Young guy this year, but listening to the commentators yesterday you’d think he walked in on water
