  1. And that is perfectly fine. Dude has punted more than enough in his time in Washington. He has earned this rest and relaxation. Also gives him time to perfect his holding for FGs and XPs.

He’s getting older too. Better to keep that leg as fresh as possible for a game where we need it.

  2. [https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/punt-attempts-per-game](https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/punt-attempts-per-game)

Punts per game for 2024 have been 2.0 (San Fran) to 6.0 (Cleveland) minus us being obvious outliers.

2023 was 5.8 (Jets and New England) to 2.6 (Dallas) with us at 4.4

Let’s break the Chargers’ 1982 record of 23 punts in a season! We’re at 8 total: 3 at Tampa, 0 vs the Giants and at Cincy, 1 at Arizona, and 4 versus Cleveland, though 2 of those in Cleveland were when Mariota was specifically trying to kill the clock so those punts were totally worth it. That means 14 punts for 12 games. Can we do it?

  3. Took his number and now his career. Im sure he’s happy but this is how villain arcs start
