Great deal still
Under $20 million per is a good deal for a starting center
People are gonna complain but Dell is solid. And it’s a movable contract

Ehh I just really don’t think he’s a great center
I still can’t see him as the starting center when Franz and P5 are the starting forwards. That’s a less than ideal defensive front court.
I still think with who the starting 4 project to be, a more defensive minded center/big is ideal. Not a soft, stretch 5 who struggles to consistently rebound well.
So I guess he can’t be traded now?
Severe overpay for a very mid center. Not really a fan of this. We need an upgrade at this position and he’s not it.

we have Goga and Dell for next 3 years at 28m/year — cheaper than hartenstein by himself — seems like a deal to me

WCJ 3 yr $59mil – $19.6mil
JI got the long term investment while WCJ is the starter for the next 3 years. Assuring the co center gameplan is here to stay as we continue for the win now mentality but plan for the future still. Our FOs signature style 👌🏼
In the current environment that’s solid value. Wendell has lost a little bit of his shine the last couple years to me and has way too many injuries, but is a solid supporting center.
I’m still not sold on him being the long term 5 next to paolo but we should be able to move his contract on those numbers if we need to

Can’t stand the dude. Only guy on the team that slacks off and consistently fails to give 100% effort, and laughs it up every time he gets beat or blows an easy play. We play so much better with mo out there. Hope we trade him for guys that give a shit.
Tim Bontemps reporting that the third year has a team option. Another W for the front office.
