1. That shits gonna eat me alive for a while, probably cause I saw it in person

   But, I’m looking at these next 2 days as positively as possible. We’ve played relatively well in Comerica and Skubal won’t be pitching. Winning tomorrow is key though so we can let Bibee pitch on Thursday with the possibility to clinch

2. I can take a little bit of solace in the fact that every team left standing is also looking down the barrel of a best 2 out of 3.

   But not much. That stung. Felt like we were gonna pull it out all game.

   Not a happy camper today.

3. Clase throwing back to back sliders right down the middle was very bizarre. Oh well, it was always going to be tough to beat Skubal. Just get the next 2 ✊🏼

4. Weird shit happens in the playoffs. Clase made a bad pitch, which is a unicorn. 

   Our pitching has been fantastic otherwise. Boyd was great yesterday. Cade, Herrin, Gaddis have been fantastic. Bibee was great. 

   The bats couldn’t get one across yesterday. We had some chances but couldn’t capitalize. Thomas squared a couple up, but they didn’t find grass. Manzardo smacked one, but got robbed by a great play. 

   Shake it off, move on. We got this. 

5. I just really hope we pull through but I doubt we win both in Detroit and if we don’t we have to face Skubal again. I just really want us to win the World Series.

6. I know it’s hindsight, and I’ll probably get pummeled for this, but I’m a little worried that Vogt is pulling something of Tito with his use of the BP – bring out the same trusted guys in order.

   I know Clase is great, but he was obviously not as sharp as usual, and after giving up the 2 hits with Carpenter coming up, why not give Walters or Sabrowski a shot? Carpenter struggles against leftys.

10. Gotta have short memory folks. I am still shook about last night but we gotta get through it and get ready to play ball tomorrow. It’s not lost.

12. They threw the best (only, really) guy they had at us and it still took a miracle 9th inning homerun to win the game they were “supposed” to win. Our bullpen depth gives us the advantage with these next 2 being back-to-back. Let’s get em both!

13. It was a tough loss yesterday. But we went toe to toe with their ace yesterday and it took till the 9th for them to score.

    Last off day then it’s back to back games. Going to be interesting what Vogt decide to do with Cobb and the bullpen.

    We just gotta do what the Tigers did and take one game at their park. I’m sure it’ll be a loud and tough crowd but if we take them out early it’ll be fine.

    Skubal was the only pitcher that I was worried about and he’s gone till game 5.

14. My takeaways are that we were one strike away going to the bottom of the ninth tied 0-0 after facing the best starter in baseball, and it took them almost 18 innings to score a run on us. A frustrating loss but certainly nothing to panic about.

15. Our guys just gotta hit. Jhonk with the cannon, Kwan with the catch. The pitching (mostly) and D are doing their part and prevented runs for 17 straight innings. Clase definitely should have been able to get Rogers or that other guy out before getting to Carpenter but shit happens. Come out swinging (not at the first pitch) in game 3 and take the momentum back

16. If the Padres go up 2-1, we are so fucking back

    Hopeful we can just win both in Detroit and not have to fucking deal with Skubal again

17. It hurts because it was Clase. If Morgan gives that up it sucks, but it feels like Superman died
