Hoerner kidding me Swanson the bait
4 straight years 😭
Nico is one of the few players on this team that feels like a cub. I’d be happy with him back next year. Of course I could like a trade deal he’s in too. But in my eyes paredes is the biggest replacement target on this infield. Jed prolly wont trade him tho. All I know is that if Nico is the spot that moves so Shaw or someone else can come in and not paredes after his abysmal stint with the cubs I’ll be pissed.
Why can't Busch be utility player like Zobrist
Anything below
I was calling for them to center a package around him last off-season to trade to the Mariners for one of their stud SP.
I was calling for it to be Hoerner, Assad (to replace the SP we're taking), and two lower tier prospects for either Gilbert or Kirby.
WAR doesn’t matter but RBI is your metric? 🤣
Nico Hoerner only 7 home run 🤣🤣🤣 he have no power cubs need to rid of Nico Hoerner this team cubs need more home run power Hitters players
Horners a solid bench guy. He's good for a hit or stolen base, RBI is 48 at 151 games is terrible for a starting 2nd baseman .Avg 273 is not terrible ,But he doesn't make a difference on winning or losing ,7 HR really is ridiculous too.
Absolutely trade Nico.second base is the deepest position in the organization.
Nico Hoerner and an outfielder to Mariners for Logan Gilbert. Could also make it a bigger trade by adding Paredes and getting another young player from Seattle. We have Shaw and Cam Smith almost ready to take over for 2nd and 3rd base.
Did everyone not stat check…. Nico is 2nd best batting average in the line up. What is everyone smoking? He’s getting paid 11mil a year guys. We are getting what we pay for unlike the rest of the team minus shota
Do it. Move Busch to 2nd and get a Alonso or Vlad Jr to play 1st
And one thing I remember about Nico this past season, losing his mind at Seiya when he was in the wrong.
I bet the cubs add mid level pitching. They will add 2 starters and 2 bullpen arms. They will send out same lineup next year. Rumors will be all over and we won't do any of it. We will say we tried but contracts got too high.
Matt throwing in the Counsell that's a bad take on Sam's 2022 take on Nico. LOL
Best podcast, so entertaining
dude has one down year and everyone wants to trade him stop it
Holy comments
There are plenty of options at 2nd if they trade Nico. He's an enticing offer for other teams. We just need a big name with power rather than sentimental favorites.
trade dansby instead somehow
if the team was constructed differently hoerner would be a nice piece, you have to trade someone
Nico Hoerner was a waste of money this season! No situational hitting whatsoever.
Trade Nico and Paredes. Shaw to 2B and sign Willie Adames for 3B.
As you should know, every player was less than they can be this year thanks to the demoralization and void of leadership caused by hoyers foolish decisions. Nico is a real Cub and a great player. He just needs real leadership to work and learn under like he had before this season. He's exactly ther kind of player we want. Sad you would ask that dumb question.
Nico has evolved into a better version of Darwin Barney.
You guys are delusional Jed isn't trading anyone especially Nico who is the strength up the middle now if they could get Adamas put him at second even though shortstop is not that different ,then I would trade him for a pitcher.
Economics, Nico makes 11 mil a year, he's not going anywhere.
