I’m not going to be able to handle Foxys retirement. All the voices of kings hockey from my childhood first watching the kings on tv and in the car, all gone soon.
Can he take rambling Fox with him!

I was wondering why Josh Schafer (former play by play guy for Ontario) was brought up for the Kings this season. He’s listed as a broadcast contributor and host this season, but I wonder if he’ll become our permanent play by play guy next season and for years to come. He killed it a year or two ago when Nick was out with an illness. Actually prefer him to Faust.
Just listened to Schaefer on YouTube..play by play…not bad..rather have him that Faust too ..Getting Faust to replace Bob Miller was like being a kid again and getting a happy meal…Only to get a crappy toy and having to deal being happy with it..🤣🤣 no thanks..Williss Nick too… Iconic announcers we have been lucky to have as Kings fans
I was hoping to listen to Nickson for another decade. I have no idea how many nights I would listen to Nick as I drove home through traffic. The way he called the game helped me to visualize exactly what was happening on the ice.
After moving out east, I truly started to appreciate what legends we have/had in Los Angeles. Chick Hearn, Vin Scully, Bob Miller, and Nick Nickson and the pinnacle of what an announcer should be.
I wish Nick all the best in his retirement, but I will selfishly miss him next year.
So there is a opening next season?
What are the chances they bring Alex Faust back? Zero?

Hard to believe that I typed that given my impression when first started doing Kings TV games, but he got a lot better and he and Jim Fox worked very well together.
This is probably blasphemy, but for some reason Nick Nickson’s voice and delivery just doesn’t do much for me.
This really breaks my heart 😞
Wasn’t this expected? I remember there being an announcement when Nick joined the simulcast that he was nearing the end of his run.

I came from an era where I heard many Kings games on the radio his voice will be missed just as much as Bob’s. Best of luck to Nick in retirement. Well deserved. Stick taps.
Why is Ron Jeremy on the Kings photo?
Really hope they bring up Josh from the Reign. He calls great games there, just top-notch.
