Good riddance Bally
Now just remove the stupid blackout restrictions and I’ll watch every game!
We won! Hopefully it’s similar to the Diamondbacks where they just sold it directly to all the cable and satellite companies and also offering streaming for $100 for the season.
Not sure if this is good or not
No shit!! WOOOOOO!
Had to click through, Drellich dropped the info haha
So what does this mean? Will people who had say, a basic cable/satellite package that had Bally now need a separate MLB subscription, sports package, or whatever of some sort?
I hope that the MLB keeps the Bally broadcast team on board. I would be heartbroken without Sophia on the sideline and BA/Rock when we are fortunate enough to have them.
This better not mean we lose our broadcast crew
Sooooooo y’all hiring?
The only thing I’ll miss is that intro tune
DA NA NA NA NAAAA! DA NA NA NA NAAAA!!!
I’m thrilled for the blackouts to finally go away I want to know what impact does this do to payroll and the financials?
As an out-of-market fan I don’t think this affects me much, but I’m glad the local peeps can say good riddance to Bally. I deal with them for hockey games and they suck.
Good job Hunter!
Please, for the love of god, just let me a pay a monthly amount to just watch the Brewers without blackouts on a site that actually works.
Most importantly, what sort of money do the Brewers get out of this? If the Brewers end up getting less than the Bally’s contract, that’s not good for the team. You want Adames like talent to get paid? They “need” that TV contract money.
This should be a state Holiday.
Free at last free at last
This also explains why the Brewer away games against Diamondbacks, Rockies and Padres this season had noticeably better camera feeds. I didn’t realize MLB was producing for those teams. So I’m excited for the better quality.
Hopefully it remains ~$100 to remove the blackouts next year
So upside is no more Bally. Downside is there will likely never be a combo package that gets you both Brewers and Bucks again. That kinda stinks but rest in piss, Bally.
For comparison, Dbacks this past season streamed for $19.99 a month or $99.99 for the season (don’t need to buy full out of market [MLB.TV](http://MLB.TV) to subscribe), and was also distributed widely though DirecTV, DirecTV Stream, Hulu Love, Sling TV, YouTube TV, Charter, Comcast and COX.
I’ve prayed for times like this. 🙏🙏
Biggest question I have is: what will the scorebug look like? Because the Bally one is legitimately the worst one I’ve ever seen, no hyperbole
So as fans this sounds like it will be a better viewing experience… what effect does this have on the Brewers payroll?
Will Jeff Levering still call games?
As long as i can still listen to games for $20 a year streaming I’m fine with anything. Who actually watches baseball? /s
Didn’t have an HB4 bombshell on my bingo card for today
Rejoice!!
Glad to see Hunter getting recognition!! I went to high school with him, and he’s a great guy
Good for watching games. Bad for brewers being competitive.
