[Kennedi Landry] No shock here, but MLB announces that the Rangers are officially no longer partnering with Diamond Sports Group and Bally Sports. They are still considering the local media options for the 2025 season.

Obviously the speculation was sound, but it’s nice to hear an official confirmation.

Raymond was on the Straight Up Texas Podcast with Sandler and he mentioned fans will be happy with how easy watching games will be and that this has been a work in progress for years.

  2. No more Bally would be awesome! Lifetime Rangers fan but live in Cleveland. They have Cleveland games on Bally and I can’t watch them Because I have YouTube TV. So when I am not watching rangers I can’t even watch a local game. It’s all BS.
    Go Rangers… go local!

  3. Any chance the Rangers won’t be blacked out on MLB.Tv in 2025? I live in Midland Tx, so they were blacked out, use YoutubeTV but borrowed my MIL Directv streaming to watch both MLB Network and Ballys

  4. Not sure why people are so excited about this, get ready when we are back to a bottom quartile payroll in baseball after losing $100M guaranteed annually.

  5. I grew up in Louisiana. I was able to watch the Mets of wwor, the Cubs (back when they only played night games) on wgn, the Braves on tbs, and the Rangers ktvt. It was great! Except when the Rangers would pre-empt WCCW with the Erichs live from the Sportatorium.

  6. My main concern is how does this effect budget for off-season resignings and acquisitions. Since last seasoned it put a damper on any big moves.
