There is a God.
…and his name is José Ramírez.
As long as they keep the druncles together I’m excited.
I would gladly pay the mlb 20 a month to stop sailing the open seas and stream them directly
So will be able to subscribe? or will they keep the same blackout bullshit where us fans who live in a completely different state aren’t even allowed to watch.
So if I buy MLB TV I won’t be blacked out ?
Does this mean that they won’t be blacked out on MLBTV locally, or something else? The last two years I have gotten free MLBTV because my son plays little league baseball, but obviously the Guards were blacked out locally. If they lift the blackout as part of this, that is huge news for me.
I really hope there’s an over-the-air TV component involved with this deal. Put the team entirely on a subscription service, even one as high quality as MLB.tv, and you’re going to bleed off casual fan support so fast it will make your head spin.
(source: someone who casually followed the Columbus Crew until they went behind the Apple TV paywall and haven’t watched a game since in spite of them being historically good)
I hope there will be an OTA option. I know people love streaming, but I have grandparents who can’t navigate technology, even with help, who would be upset that it’s more difficult for them to watch.
This surely is going to be an improvement.
Any veterans out there, mlb.tv gives a very nice (20%, I believe) discount if you sign up with the TroopID discount when you go to buy. I get Guardians only with vets discount and the price is realllllly nice.
Oh hot dang, the end of blackouts. In a season chock full of serendipitously good news, this qualifies as yet one more.
Will T-Mobile shit over this? Will I still get free mlb from them?
I tried watching the game on my mlb TV app and I have the t mobile deal and it said I needed MLB VP or some shit. It’s so fucking annoying just trying to watch a fuckinf game. I have spectrum but bally blocks the network if you aren’t on your home ip.
BLACKOUTS OR NOT
T-Mobile usually has [mlb.tv](http://mlb.tv) for free. So if that continues and I claim it, hopefully I can watch without local blackouts.
Thank goodness! I don’t mind sailing the high seas using a ship in a different location. But not having to go through the hassle of fighting mlbtv each time they snuffed out one of my ships would be great.
Does this mean the games will be on a Hulu Live or YouTube TV now?
Would be nice getting the games with the $60-70 a month live streaming platforms

What happens to their media money?
So will I be able to watch guardians games in cbus now without cable?
So long Spectrum!
Twins and Guardians games? What’s MLBs xBA how they don’t just get lucky
I hope the same crew is there!

Curious what local options will be available and what services you’ll be able to get said local options on. I pay for Fubo now for $90/month which carries bally’s, but if I could go to a cheaper tv service that carries the games I’ll be happy. Will have to see what happens with the Cavs too
Im going to be so hard on the phone as I cancel Spectrum

Edit: Statement from the Guardians includes a note about it essentially ending blackouts locally: https://x.com/MandyBell02/status/1843727887884796137
Will they still be on Cable? Same announcers?

For those wondering the alternative to MLB.tv.
I will just say that Dan Gilbert just started his own local OTA sports channel called [Rock Entertainment Sports Network](https://www.clevelandmonsters.com/news/detail/rock-entertainment-group-and-gray-media-join-forces-to-launch-rock-entertainment-sports-network).
