  1. I’m just here for a reality where the Mets advance further than the Yankees and then sign Soto.

  2. Phillies get better every regular season but get progressively worse in the postseason. Interesting.

  3. If I had a nickel every time I’ve seen the NL East champ on the brink by an inter-division wild card team in this new playoff format, I’d only have 15 cents which isn’t a lot but weird it has happened every year.

  4. Seriously…imagine telling Mets fans back in Memorial Day that *this* would all be happening…

  5. The way this mets season has gone it feels like there’s a 93% chance of a game 5 because nothing has ever been easy. But that’s tomorrow us’s problem. Just gotta keep fighting.

  6. it would be cool if the phillies could use their bats to bash my head in since they don’t want to use them to play baseball

  7. The Mets may have won, but the real question is whether or not the Phillies made Diaz warm up in the bullpen?

  8. Manaea walked two in a row to open the 6th, with only a 2-0 lead. The series hung in the balance, Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos swung at 6 straight pitches, produced the two worst outcomes possible, and the series was over.

  9. This Mets team feels different than ones I’ve seen in the past that have made deep runs like 99, 2000, 2006 and 2015. They’re pretty locked in right now.

  10. Sean Manaea:

    7 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 Ks, 19 Whiffs

Manaea did a great job utilizing his nasty Sweeper and Changeup combo generating tons of whiffs!

    His Sweeper:

    71.5 MPH Avg Exit Velo, 54% Whiff%, 31% CSW%

    Overall:

    35% Whiff%
    33% CSW%
    54% Zone%I

  11. Great win, shouldn’t be this easy over a team as good as Philly. This series ain’t over, it’s going to be a fight tomorrow, Quintana needs to keep them at bay again…

  12. Who just dropped that “holy shit” during the on-field interview 😂 It went out over local radio

  13. 99% percent of philly batters strike out before hitting the biggest home run ever, never stop swinging boys.

  14. Does anyone have the exit velos for the Mets hits off of Nola? Feel like every ball was just smacked

  15. I can’t even begin to explain how amazing this season has been. I think the fact that there weren’t any high expectations and still aren’t, is what makes this feel so special.

Compare this season to last year when we had the highest payroll and were coming in with high expectations. This season was supposed to be a rebuilding year. I just wanted to watch competitive baseball and enjoy some games at Citi Field.

Well from 11 games below .500 to OMG to Grimace to whatever the fuck this run is I can’t even begin to explain to other fans how fun this run has been. Regardless of how it ends it has been an unforgettable year for Mets fans.
