  2. Can’t think of a better way to kick the season off than a banner hanging and kicking Boston’s ass.

  3. Only thing I didn’t like is they clearly took the foot off the gas in the last 10, giving Boston some hope (and bringing back that Cardiac Cat energy).

    But other than that?  We are so back bros.  Let’s get another banner.

  6. As a diehard Washington Capitals fan, I have observed the following from this game. The Florida Panthers are everything that the Boston Bruins used to be; Stanley Cup Champions (congrats bros you earned it), gritty, tough, hard working and most importantly WINNING. Let’s go Cats from the DC metro area.

  10. Amazing start. Boston fans are going to try to blame that loss only Korpi but most of the goals were expected. It actually ended up being a rough game defensively for both teams

    Fast, aggressive, grindy as always. New guys fit in perfectly, like they’ve been on the team for years. PoMo’s influence already showing. Nasty, savage net attack.

    Only game 1, team’s don’t usually start really flowing till games 15-20 but with that being said….

    0-6 on the PP? FIRE POMO, SELL THE SEASON ALREADY.

  26. The Bruins got dummied. The Cats scored early and they scored often, picking up right where the playoffs left off. The Bruins didn’t belong on the same ice as the Panthers tonight. Going to be a fun season.

    Maybe I have to throw something critical in there, but the powerplay looks bad, particularly the zone entries. Boqvist, a buyout last year, probably is miscast as PP quarterback, but I would give it at least ten games before changing it up. Ekblad looks better, but they’re better off conserving his minutes.

  30. Seems we picked right back up to our suffocating for check. Offense looked great, d looked surprisingly solid. We let our foot of the gas in the third but that’s understandable and they earned it and Boston was playing dirty anyway. Power play could have been better.

  31. Also upset they didint give us anything at the stadium to kick off the season after the cup, they gave out pretty cool amerat medallions last year.

  32. Checking in from Bradenton! Was flipping between weather updates and the game throughout the night. Glad to see the boys got it done. I love that tonight was the closest Boston has gotten to a cup in 3 years. All because of us. Go Cats!!
