  1. Unfortunately, as they are currently constructed, I don't think they are. Defense is very suspect, and our goaltending situation is shaky at best.

  2. It almost seems as if Yzerman is sitting on his hands this season, waiting for some of the prospects to mature in GR and elsewhere. Ottawa got Ullmark. That alone will push Detroit into 6th this season. And if Buffalo figures out how to use its talent, the Wings could be a 7th place team.

  14. You have 4 potential 40 goal scorers on this roster. Put it this way, you have 4 guys who will score 30 goals so the potential for 40 is there.

    Raymond – 82 GP 31G 41A 72P
    Larkin – 68 GP 33G 36A 69P
    DeBrincat – 82 GP 27G 40A 67P
    Kane – 50 GP 20G 27A 47P

    I expect Raymond to improve. Larkin just needs to stay healthy. DeBrincat needs to stop ringing posts and he’d easily score over 30. Kane needs a full season and to stay healthy. These 4 can really light it up.

    Don’t count out Tarasenko either, he could post 30 too.

  17. There's a pretty severe regression brewing for this team. I think they'll struggle to get to eighty points in the standings primarily because their top guys don't produce.

  18. Sorry but the Red Wings are a joke at this point. This isn't a playoff team and it's definitely not a Stanley Cup contender. Yet their first round picks Kasper, Danielson, Sandin-Pellika and Cossa aren't on the team. This rebuild is a failure. Yzerman should be fired along with the entire coaching staff. Also they haven't drafted well in rounds 2-7 so in my opinion Draper needs to be fired along with the entire scouting department.
