Just like in summer league, you can make plenty of observations and analyze the preseason, you just shouldn’t come to concrete conclusions based on preseason.
That said..
Ijax rightfully lost his job to Stix in preseason last year. We all watched it and thought it would happen. That’s preseason analysis, and it was accurate. Now Stix happened to be punching above his weight class but he continued to for the majority of the regular season.
It took ijax an entire regular season to change what happened in preseason. In part because Stix was playing well and not trying to lose his rotation position.
If you’re reasonable and have a decent knowledge of basketball you can absolutely analyze the preseason and come to conclusions that actually effect the regular season. It just requires intelligence and the common sense to not make sweeping generations..

Jarace still looked very Jarace like. And that’s not exactly good thing.
Other than that, was fun to watch Pacers basketball again. The game was actually pretty entertaining for a reason game which was nice, and nobody came away injured. That’s about all you can ask for from a preseason game, so all is well as far as I’m concerned.
Kendall vs Cole is main reason to watch preseason this year.
Cole is a great shooter and a horrid athlete like bottom 1% bad. Newton is deceptively unathletic. Freeman is all hustle, but so undersized and not a freak athlete. Hit your free throws Wise…was that it for the new faces?
Wiseman was surprisingly not that lost out there, like he looked way better in the system than i was expecting (i was expecting bad things, he was ok imo)
