  1. If the Dodgers and Phillies lose their series my point from last season will be proven right again. You’re better off not winning your division and sandbagging. NL teams will now be a combined 0-6 in their series when having the “bye week.”

    I get there’s red hot teams but there’s always been red hot teams in the playoffs and they’ve never *always* knocked off the top seed.

    It’s gotten to the point statistically where it’s not even an upset anymore. If you play in the wild card series, you’re now the favorite in the NLDS with the new format regardless of record. And if it wasn’t for the Astros the same would be true for the American League really.
