Regardless of if Joel wins a championship here or not he deadass deserves a documentary on his career.

Like I was just thinking of all the wild shit that has happened in his life even before getting drafted here.

  1. I have said they need to do a 30 for 30 about the process focusing on Joel and the process era.

    Break it into chapters;

    Hinkie and the plan

    Joel Hans Embiid

    The manifesto

    Burner Accounts and Wide Collars

    Muscala and Maxey

    A Bad Doc and a Great Nurse

    The Championship (hopefully this year)

    The commercial will be “what if I told you to trust the process? 30 for 30 presents The Process: A Philadelphia Sports Story.”

  2. Maybe not heavily centered on Joel specifically, i don’t think he’s done enough to warrant one right now, i think he will do plenty more for this team though. However, a documentary about the process in general would be interesting, and obviously would include Joel. The process is one of the most fascinating periods of basketball history, sports history even. A team publicly tanking for so many years, leading to an assortment of high draft picks, and multiple storylines coming from those picks. The process is definitely something Netflix should look into.

  3. There is no story unless they win a championship.

    Without one – it is the same story as Karl Malone (not personal life – just ball).

  4. There’s no way someone doesn’t already have something in the works and been filming for years already. It’s too good of a sports story to pass up.
