The Utah Hockey Club got it’s first win in it’s very first game as the Utah Hockey Club took down the Chicago Blackhawks on opening night. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

If it was against any other team, I would visibly like what I saw. But against the blackhawks, an AHL team could've probably put up the same performance. The real test for me will be the next two games against the Islanders & Rangers.
Yeah, not gonna lie I loved that scheduling seeing Chicago get the home opener for Utah.
Not a fan of either team, but this was a fun game to watch last night, ngl.
Does Utah have a goal horn yet?
Utah's got a bright future ahead of them
Loved the game! Its ofc a season opener and the team is more pumped then ever. But if thay can play like this all season long. It could get them into the playoffs.
Why do rich people think sitting behind the glass at ice level is a great seat to se a hockey game? This isn't equal to NBA courtside seats. Best hockey seats are three to five rows back.
The Utah boys had a good game, God bless em and God bless anyone that reads this post. Jesus Christ loves you, wants a loving relationship with you and doesn't forget about you. He wants you to believe in Him, ask for forgiveness of your sins, turn from them and live in peace and joy with the most High God. Talk to Him everyday, read the Bible, apply it to your life. It changes it greatly and for the better, not for the worse. He loves you. ♥
I call 'em the Utah Phoenix, sue me.
Bedard is washed
Look, the owner is sitting in the stands, with the fans, that's really good. He's not sitting in some box away from everyone, he's sitting with the new fans
Thats…. the way she goes
Take that big " tough" Chicago bedards….😢😢😢 😆
I can't wait to see my preffered team face them, and 😮😅 wait till they bump into the Rangers or panthers 😂😂😂
Really? Same colors as Seattle? They couldn't come up with something a little more original than that? Happy for SLC though and it's about time the NHL got out of the college arena in Tempe which was a total embarassment for the league. Shame they didn't have the foresight when building the Delta Center 3+ decades ago to make it more adaptable for hockey, especially since the Olympics were there a little over 20 years ago. It'll def do for now though, but those folded seats like the Islanders had at Barclay's when the Coliseum was being redone sucks for fans and viewers. Congrats to them on the win, Chicago nearly tied it up multiple times.
This "Franchise" has existed since 1972. So unless the NHL gives all the former Jets records to the current Jets. This is just a relocated team.
I was there at the watch party outside the Delta Center. Even though the crowd was much smaller, the eruption of cheers was insane when the first goal was scored! Hockey is in good hands here in Utah.
11:00 p.m. start time for a game is absolutely brutal. Good luck Eck.
Utahs doing pretty good…
FFFFFFUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKK UTAH THE IGINLA NAME ONLY BELONGS ON THE BACK OF A FLAMES JERSEY. FUCK UTAH FOR EVER AND ETERNITY.
I disagree with your assessment of the hawks. Chicago dominated large chunks of the game, other than the bad first period it was a good game by Chicago
Hawks fan. Made me laugh how "historic" of the night it was supposed to be.
O gosh let’s calm down
isn't the ''franchise'' also includes the yotes in it?
Was hyped about the return of the Jets, Vegas and Seattle, but this Utah project is on another level! Hope they haul mad ass! And, as you said, the first goal in franchise history could not have gone to a better guy than Guenther! Wow!
It'd be hilarious for the unnamed team to forever be listed as the Stanley Cup winners.
But no, I don't even peg them as a playoff team.
Hawks looked good towards the end of the game. Before that picked up they looked like uncoordinated toddlers out there
I was their for their first (preseason) game against the Avs. I'm happy for the Yotis!
I just hoping a better year for this roster
What a maroon!
I like how their goal horn song is Max Verstappen
Could they choose a better name.
the UTAH Hockey Club……Is it just me ? What's in a Name…..? Utah No Names….Utah Generics…Utah People Who Skate….Lets Go, Hockey Club, Lets GO !!
LETS GO UTAH 🖤🩵🖤
I keep seeing people laughing at them being like « oh, they are going from the smallest arena in the NHL to the smallest arena in the NHL » But to be fair. This really doesn’t look that small and actually even looks good. And with all those peoples in the crowds it looks like we maybe got an interesting hockey market there. Really happy for Utah, this season will be fun.
“Chicago didn’t look like they could score” bro didn’t watch the game by any reasonable standard they should have put up at least 4 with how many posts and miracle saves kept the TBDs in the game. Both teams looked good and objectively the hawks dominated the last 2 periods
Cool a Utah hockey club scored a few goals what team
You do realize that Utah is not an expansion team, right?
Love Utah. I cant possibly express how happy I am that Bettman finally moved on from the Yotes failure of a franchise. All that said.. can they please come up with an actual name? I hate saying.. "the Utah Hockey Club." This isnt soccer.
Tbh chicago should've one but 5 posts u can't..
Great game
To call it "franchise" history is dishonest. It is the Arizona Coyotes in a different city, nothing more. This is not a new franchise.
technically, their first goal was an own goal, preseason or not lol
It’s still the same team that just left Arizona.. let’s not forget that
I don't expect Utah, St Louis, or Minnesota to reach 80 points. Chicago is still probably a last place team, but the bottom four should all be pretty close together I think.
Chicago should’ve drafted Demidov Lmaoo
Hall Patricia Hernandez Kimberly Miller Christopher
On November 19, the NHL and Smith Entertainment Group will announce that the Utah Hockey Club’s new permanent name for next season will be revealed as the Utah Blizzard and Frostbite, a stag deer, will be the Utah Blizzard’s new permanent mascot.
They need to fix both short sides of the arena people will get tired looks really ugly almost like when NYI move to Barclays Center
I like any team that beats Chicago especially UTAH.
Anyone else think the Chicago goalie just gave up on that last goal?
