This just made NHL history…

The Utah Hockey Club got it’s first win in it’s very first game as the Utah Hockey Club took down the Chicago Blackhawks on opening night. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. If it was against any other team, I would visibly like what I saw. But against the blackhawks, an AHL team could've probably put up the same performance. The real test for me will be the next two games against the Islanders & Rangers.

  2. Loved the game! Its ofc a season opener and the team is more pumped then ever. But if thay can play like this all season long. It could get them into the playoffs.

  3. Why do rich people think sitting behind the glass at ice level is a great seat to se a hockey game? This isn't equal to NBA courtside seats. Best hockey seats are three to five rows back.

  4. The Utah boys had a good game, God bless em and God bless anyone that reads this post. Jesus Christ loves you, wants a loving relationship with you and doesn't forget about you. He wants you to believe in Him, ask for forgiveness of your sins, turn from them and live in peace and joy with the most High God. Talk to Him everyday, read the Bible, apply it to your life. It changes it greatly and for the better, not for the worse. He loves you. ♥

  5. Look, the owner is sitting in the stands, with the fans, that's really good. He's not sitting in some box away from everyone, he's sitting with the new fans

  6. Take that big " tough" Chicago bedards….😢😢😢 😆

I can't wait to see my preffered team face them, and 😮😅 wait till they bump into the Rangers or panthers 😂😂😂

  7. Really? Same colors as Seattle? They couldn't come up with something a little more original than that? Happy for SLC though and it's about time the NHL got out of the college arena in Tempe which was a total embarassment for the league. Shame they didn't have the foresight when building the Delta Center 3+ decades ago to make it more adaptable for hockey, especially since the Olympics were there a little over 20 years ago. It'll def do for now though, but those folded seats like the Islanders had at Barclay's when the Coliseum was being redone sucks for fans and viewers. Congrats to them on the win, Chicago nearly tied it up multiple times.

  8. I was there at the watch party outside the Delta Center. Even though the crowd was much smaller, the eruption of cheers was insane when the first goal was scored! Hockey is in good hands here in Utah.

  9. Was hyped about the return of the Jets, Vegas and Seattle, but this Utah project is on another level! Hope they haul mad ass!
And, as you said, the first goal in franchise history could not have gone to a better guy than Guenther! Wow!

  10. It'd be hilarious for the unnamed team to forever be listed as the Stanley Cup winners.

But no, I don't even peg them as a playoff team.

  11. I keep seeing people laughing at them being like « oh, they are going from the smallest arena in the NHL to the smallest arena in the NHL » But to be fair. This really doesn’t look that small and actually even looks good. And with all those peoples in the crowds it looks like we maybe got an interesting hockey market there. Really happy for Utah, this season will be fun.

  12. “Chicago didn’t look like they could score” bro didn’t watch the game by any reasonable standard they should have put up at least 4 with how many posts and miracle saves kept the TBDs in the game. Both teams looked good and objectively the hawks dominated the last 2 periods

  13. Love Utah. I cant possibly express how happy I am that Bettman finally moved on from the Yotes failure of a franchise. All that said.. can they please come up with an actual name? I hate saying.. "the Utah Hockey Club." This isnt soccer.

  14. To call it "franchise" history is dishonest. It is the Arizona Coyotes in a different city, nothing more. This is not a new franchise.

  15. I don't expect Utah, St Louis, or Minnesota to reach 80 points. Chicago is still probably a last place team, but the bottom four should all be pretty close together I think.

  16. On November 19, the NHL and Smith Entertainment Group will announce that the Utah Hockey Club’s new permanent name for next season will be revealed as the Utah Blizzard and Frostbite, a stag deer, will be the Utah Blizzard’s new permanent mascot.
