  1. This has been his most impressive year. Depleted starting rotation all year long and still able to with NL west. He has managed this whole series amazing (not much to managed games 2 & 3). Just earning this game 5, he should be safe in his role for next year.

  2. Dave Roberts is a brilliant baseball mind. If people dont know that, they dont know baseball.

  3. Kopech in the 3rd inning and knack to close the game, who would have thought.

Dave had 8 years to learn from his mistakes and grown a LOT as a manager. His in game decisions have been on point this whole series.

  4. The bullpen game really seemed to throw off SD’s hitting rhythm. Never able to get comfortable with any particular pitcher or style.

  5. Bullpen masterpiece. Now we need Yoshi to go 6 in game 5 & ERA under 2 & the bats to do what they do.

Blue needs the bottom of line up to produce like today & its good. I have a gut feeling that Shohei playing with Decoy back home is going to produce a monster game.

  6. All you doomers need to STFU and never speak on the Dodgers again. Can’t believe how many of you acted like fair weather fans leading up to today’s game. We’ve had a season of serious injuries and should not have gotten this far, but we fkn did. We’ve waited a while for the boys to click together like this, so sit back and enjoy it. The boys want the win more than ever. Win or lose, I’m proud to be a Dodger fan and you should be too

  7. I knew Dave was good but I remember at some point in the 21 season we had a crazy long game against the Frauds. Was something like it started Wednesday and ended early Thursday morning or something.

How he managed the bullpen and pinch hitting was so smart I was impressed. I never doubted his baseball mind at all and the fact we don’t have controversies in the clubhouse (outside of things he can’t control) he’s a good manager

  8. Dave needs to manage like it is win or go home every game!! I don’t give Roberts credit all the time, however he has done very well up to this point. Win or lose I don’t think he is fired due to the injuries and what he has done with what he has.

  9. He doesn’t really have much of a choice but it’s awesome to see the bullpen showing fight. The starters are so bad that they essentially spot the padres 4-6 runs in the first few innings every game. The bullpen comes in, in SD, and put on an absolute show.

  10. he’s doing what he’s always done, folks…it’s just that players have performed this year. he’s done a good job but can’t control players giving up 6 runs in the first inning or players going 1/22.

I’m glad y’all are finally giving him some credit…but he’s a fine manager. perfect? no…but way better than most of the silly narratives say he is.

  11. I was baffled when I saw someone post on Threads saying that Dave Roberts was waving the white flag by having a bullpen and should be fired.
