  5. Jets are in the same stage as we were when he got hired. We thought that he couldn’t be THAT bad since we had AJB and Derrick Henry, but all the Raiders fans warning us were right.

  7. 2021 Todd Downing wasn’t terrible. He had no Derrick Henry for half the season but still put up points.

This could be the worst timeline where downing becomes an offensive guru after escaping the umbrella of Vrabel and he becomes the hc of jags after they fire Doug. They pickup burks as a free agent and he becomes the most dangerous wr2 in the league. It’s a massive success for everybody involved.

  14. Who would have a thought a coaching staff consisting of Todd Downing and Keith Carter would not be successful. There was no historical data they could have looked at to have known that the offense would sputter and the line would be in shambles.

  21. I’ll make a real wild statement and say that I thought Downing had some actual nicely designed plays, the man just had no fucking clown how to call a game and make in-game adjustments. If it’s more or less Rodgers running the game script it might not be *that* bad of a thing for them. But it’s hardly good lol, fuck Downing

  22. Husband is a Bills fan. After Salah got fired, I told him that the Jets game might be tough with the boost that teams usually seem to get after the coach is fired, like what the Titans did in New Orleans after Whisenhunt got axed.

    After seeing this, I sent him a text: “I take back everything I said, you’re going to be fine”.
