Perk is now scamming college athletes out of NIL money instead of just sticking to scamming Chinese buffet restaurants

Looks like he’s taking his dishonest grifting and expanding it to prey upon college athletes, now.

  1. Perk’s a grifter. We saw that with how he turned his back on the Cs despite getting his media start with them, and now he’s getting into seedy business deals once he cemented his spot at ESPN

  2. This business doesn’t need to be inherently predatory. It can effectively act as a sort of low-grade career insurance for players who might not amount to much.

Knowing Perk, though, and seeing that they can collect up to 250% of their initial investment back…I’m betting the numbers look pretty rosy for the company at the athlete’s expense.

  3. It’s not a scam. It’s no worse than a royalty deal for a writer or a musician. In fact, the terms they describe are better than a book deal for 99% of authors.

  4. That’s not a scam it’s a pretty good deal imo. He’s basically just offering insurance upfront
