[Monson] They just came out and admitted that New York was working with worse views of that play than the TV broadcast? That’s an absolutely inexcusable failure of process.

  1. Yea I don’t get it. We have better replays from our couch than they do in ny??? I recall back in the day they used to say that they were seeing the same stuff

  2. I remember the refs had no problems with the zoom and enhance feature when Kyle Williams was trying to get out of the way of a punt.

  3. Shit makes me lose my mind. I think it would be in my best interest to not watch next weeks game vs the refs.

  4. The NFL refs are just beyond inept. It’s why I try not to lose my shit over them. Did that false start Deebo facemask make any sense? Not really. But whatevs. Also pretty sure Lockett got away with a giant push off on that Seahawks final TD but I’d never expect the refs to ever call that.

  5. Seriously. That is un-fucking-believable. League should be embarrassed.

Also, where’s those guys from the gamethread who said Kyle was a dumbass for challenging that?? You unhinged folks need to R-E-L-A-X

  6. Absurd and embarrassing call from the refs, and it was made even worse by the retards in New York admitting they didn’t have the same angles as the broadcast.

You think this shit happens to the Chiefs? Inexcusable bullshit. Fuck them all I want an apology!

  7. This should be covered 80000x more than it’s going to be.. this is literally game changing and it won’t be discussed after tonight

  8. So Kyle and team had the angle but NY didnt….suuuuure. It’s more and more like the WWF every year.

  9. They’re lucky the 49ers didn’t lose the game and they need to fix their process. If they can see it on TV before the next play is run, they should be able to correct it immediately.

  10. Something else had to go wrong here besides this answer. It’s not like this was a short time between the play and the challenge. We got to sit through maybe 2 to 3 minutes of them trying to figure out a penalty. Then we get the challenge, it’s a tv timeout, so add another 1-2 minutes. Even if we want to play it conservative, they had 3 to 4 minutes to get this right, and they still couldn’t.

Somehow, the broadcasters have a better view than a team that probably has X cameras seeing the action? Sorry, but there’s not a single reason to get this wrong. And let’s be fair. I’d equally be pissed if they gave that excuse if the roles were reversed as well. There’s no excuse to be this inept with how many eyes can see this game.

  11. Couldn’t believe my ears…sure Ol’ Rog was steaming from the ears hearing Al/Kirk saying this haha

  12. Right, shouldnt the replay booth for calls have the best and most indepth replays there is smh no excuse.. even if it had to take a minute they shoulda waited til they got all angles in..

  13. How is it that possible aren’t they supposed to get all the views to make sure it was correct. This play could’ve of changed the game momentum towards the 49ers.
Wish they do what the UFL does shows the booth ref looking over the play, talking about the play, why they called it etc.
Imagine this happened to get into the playoffs, let alone a post season game.
It’s extremely inexcusable for them not to get the view.

  14. I hate to be conspiracy theory guy, and i’m not even sure i believe it, but i’m going to throw it out there. the NFL loves to promote how often it ends with one score games. niners recover that, viewership drops like a cliff because the game is over and we lose the drama of a comeback.

  15. Lol, everybody at home in their living rooms knows and can see the right call, but supposedly the handful of people who are paid by the NFL to look at detailed slow motion replays in order to get the call correct are also the only group of people who don’t have a good enough view of the play somehow.

    Make that make sense..lol

  16. I think there needs to be an independent auditor added to monitor the audio conversations between the refs.

  17. It’s just an excuse because thousands of people were accusing them of rigging.
It was obvious in every shown camera view except for one. Even big platforms like barstool sports were making a lot of noise about it.

  18. And this royal fuck up will probably never get the coverage it deserves because it was a Thursday game, with Mr Irrelevant. How the fuck does HQ have worse visuals?? Why the fuck do we defer to them??

    Anyway, BANG BANG NINER GANG!!!

  19. Smelled extremely fishy. NFL should be pressured to make a follow up statement about this fiasco, pure BS. Al Michaels even stated their weak, hard to believe words.

  20. There’s always a major shit call in Clink against the niners – nothing new 😭

  21. It’s a BS story… NFL got caught lying. Amazon (whatever TV partner) and NFL use the same broadcast feed that fans see at home. Also looking at the replay, it was pretty straightforward that the ball hit the returner finger and best case scenario both the replay center in NY and in stadium replay booth were incompetent in doing their jobs. The ref has the replay shown to him on a tablet on field but that thing is so small Im not gonna put it on him.
