BENCHES CLEAR IN YANKEES VS. ROYALS GAME 4 πŸ‘€ Awkward tag leads to MAYHEM | ESPN MLB

#ESPN #MLB
During Game 4 of the New York Yankees vs. the Kansas City Royals in the ALDS, watch as Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres makes an awkward hard tag on Royals third baseman Maikel Garcia to get the double play. Garcia is not a fan of the aggressive tag and as words are exchanged, both teams clear the dugouts and the bullpens.

  1. If you're going to come in with a late slide as Garcia did then the fielder is entitled to do what Volpe did to defend himself against it.

That was more hard-nosed baseball (by both players) than it was a "dirty" play by either player.

I don't think Garcia's slide was "dirty" but his actions after the play were out of line as he seemed to be the aggressor
in what came after the play.

  2. If you leave the bullpen & don't throw a punch. Automatic fine. Why are you out there otherwise?

Ban everyone from leaving dugout or bullpens unless they are serious about fighting. 1 game suspension for running out there. This way somebody WILL run out there to swing for a game.

  3. few blind people here or naive get your eyes checked. The woose 2nd baseman hit Makiel intentionally with a right cross while tagging him. Let him try that with me .Ha using intimidation in a baseball game its not boxing! 😑

  4. I find in baseball these bench clearing incidents are nothing but a joke they all stand or looking at each other and they swear a little bit very, very seldom a punches thrown. I just find it comical.
