1. im so confused as to what this guy adds to the hockey community. its like all he does is read stats. theres no understanding of any game he talked about with real evaluation. i could have broken down these games better just swapping between radio broadcasts blind folded. its like he's just reiterating the stat sheets??

2. Markstrom cannot have another game like that. The team has a new coach, a few players coming back from injury, and Luke and Pesce are still not back, so I expect some miscommunication/mistakes, our defense to improve but letting in 3 goals above expected is not a good look, That McMann goal especially was awful. Giving up leads early is exactly what hurt us last year, hopefully while he didn't have alot of help in front of him he'll perform better than that for most games in the season. I was already skeptical about him, and will continue to be until he proves me wrong.

3. I was expecting a loss against Boston, but it wasn't as ugly as I thought it would be. Hutson looks to be for real!

4. Don’t worry THG, Buffalo didn’t know when they were on a power play either… 🤦🏼‍♀️

5. Gallagher had a great game, he was very strong on the forecheck and it paid off with two goals. Happy for him.

   Looks like the Sabres are in danger already… ayayay

6. I feel like Detroit's defense obscured Blomqvist's great game. He kept Pittsburg within reach early and helped that momentum swing back their way.

10. The San Jose goals were the luckiest bounces I have EVER seen in a hockey game. Celebrini's first goal had nothing to do with him, the defense literally pushed it in from 10 feet out. Felt good to literally watch Celebri let Schenn skate into the zone uncontested to end it though. Afterwords shaking his head like it was dumb luck. That young and already a huge ego.

18. Took Stutzle less than 10 minutes to tie his PP goal total from last season lol. Ullmark was amazing glad the Sens held it down and got the W. I hope Barkov is ok it didn't look good but hopefully he doesn't miss any time

25. Kent Johnson and Fantilli looked amazing for the Jackets. It’s dark now, but the future is bright.

26. Wings had so many missed chances. That said, they have only themselves to blame. Looks like another season of having to score 5+/night to offset horrendous defense.

    In all seriousness, that game was so much fun. For all that the sharks fans questioned the goodrow claim, i'm so enthused he's back and he looked great last night. gonna be fun this season

31. It is good to see the Blues beat San Jose. Over the past couple of years they've played poorly against the league's lower tier teams. This is a good sign.

38. Hey Shannon, in the Kings-Sabres game, Adrian Kempe took a hooking penalty at 18:08 of the 2nd. Buffalo didn't score and started the 3rd period with :08 left. That's probably what you saw in your recap. That penalty expired just seconds before Kopitar tied up the game.

41. Sabres got absolutely robbed by the dive by Clarke. Absolutely disgusting we dominated 55 minutes of the game and then the refs decide “oh we dont want Buffalo to win” and give the Kings the game…

43. Defense in Detroit is only gonna get worse since they’re going to bring up Holl for the Petry injury. I know it’s game one but I’m betting that this team just gets clowned from their defense and lack of goaltending

44. Ullmark made all Sens fans' night last night. Green also had them playing like an actual NHL team. I think the optimism is finally warranted

45. Kopi & Sid are defying their age. They are each 37 and still elite players in the league

47. I think Blackwell and Hofer both played well, in spite of the score. Hofer had 2 flukey goals against and I don't think Blackwell let it anything that is expected to be stopped. Blackwell's play in the first period accompanied by a fluke goal against Hofer is the biggest reason the Sharks got a point. That and the fact that Kyrou didn't want to shoot for whatever reason.
