Wow, after seeing this again, he should be fined. Dangerous for everyone involved.
I mean… it was evident on the first instant replay. Brisker was already low entering the tackle. Tremble fucked his head into a concussion. I know it’s not couth to talk shit about the injured guy but… fining a play like this isn’t new at all.
Has to be the play with the most negative outcomes of the season. Not only did he concuss two people, got fined he also fumbled the ball in his own territory.
Wow, actually punishing offensive players? About damn time. For years helmet to helmet penalties were always called on the defenders even if the ball carrier dropped his head or just straight up headbutted him.
Defense has been severely handicapped by all these rules in the last decade and it’s been frustrating to watch.
Some of those rules they say are about player safety are actually about making scoring easier. Casual fans just follow the ball. So the cool stuff that happens on defense and off ball gets missed. All they care about is seeing TDs. The league knows this and has changed the rules to help offenses while pretending it’s about player safety.
I get in theory why he did what he did but man that execution of it was just horrible for everyone involved.
I wish the NFL will start flagging the offense like they do Defense for those head first collisions. Because it needs to be a two way street. It is bad enough in College flag happy for Defense of targeting but nothing for offense when it occurs.
Does anyone know the reasoning for the ultra specific amount? Like why is it 17,083 instead of 17,000?
