Good. Need him to be the #2 that he’s supposed to be. Make decisions based on the Yankees’ strengths, not the Guardians’ weaknesses.
Just don’t use up all your aura in the first 3 innings and go off the rails
Prefer this spot to game two. Let him leave it all out there from pitch one with a rested bullpen behind him.
Ngl I am nervous for this. Starting off on a good note is huge so I hope he doesn’t meltdown.

Good. He’s been good this year and deserves it.
Imagine giving up on the game a full day before they even play. I swear people forget what the playoffs are all about between years. Yesterday the Tigers were the clear favorite for the win because Skubal had been money, and he implodes. A good pep talk from Boone, Judge, and Cole and maybe Rodon will be able to keep his head on straight and get through at least 5 to keep it close. Also, if the offense can’t get it together then it won’t really matter. Game 2 of the DS wasn’t entirely on him. This offense needs to score more than 2-3 runs period.
Also no matter what happens, don’t be sending death threats to the man’s family. That’s just fucking hideous.

Id much rather he pitch on schedule and at home. And he’s going to have to pitch regardless.
Just keep him on a super short leash, he could either pitch lights out or blow the game he’s too emotional. I wouldn’t start him I’d start Gil he’s been way better

Then turns into the Z train and is nowhere to be found

I believe he is going to pitch well. In his last start he was cruising but they decided to go away from his fastball which was working. That is the only thing that got him cooked. Pitch to his strength and he will be fine.
well atleast a homerun is guaranteed from cleveland , just hope its gona be a solo shot
They gave him 162M it is what it is. Hopefully he proves us wrong
