  1. Dominant win without Nico and Mixon on some sort of pitch count is lovely to see. Great to see Dell get some more action while Diggs continue to do exactly what we hoped he would. Defense looked amazing and it’s not like Maye was out of this world bad. He just faced a really tough defense with us and we took advantage. Seeing the Texans win in New England in this fashion rocks. I’ve seen this team get embarrassed so many times in that stadium that it hurts.

If you’re complaining about this game then you need to stop being a doomer and take a deep breathe. This is the best start in franchise history when you take into account that this team isn’t close to full strength yet. If you’re a younger fan, then please don’t take this for granted and just enjoy this. This is the most super bowl ready Texans team we’ve ever seen.

  2. Team gave up 3 TDs to a rookie QB? Secondary is not playing well? Nico Collins is on IR?

    DOESN’T MATTER, BRIAN!

    5-1 LEADING THE DIVISION, BRIAN!

  3. Happy to see pierce get that touchdown . If he can continue this 1-2 mixon/pierce punch can be something special

  4. FINALLY a blowout win. Just hope none of the guys that left early are too badly hurt. Green Bay ain’t gonna be easy

  5. Offense was getting yardage. It’s just Schultz had some really bad drops at bad moments. 50 burger easily if not for that

Overall offense looked promising, run blocking had some big bust plays and a lot of bad plays.

Stroud looked sharp as usual, Tank Dell showed life, and Mixon is a beast.

While playing in GB will be tough, I just hope it’s a competitive game

  6. The Good:
    – We got off to a quick start on both sides of the ball, scoring quickly and hounding them early.
    – Despite missing Nico, our pass game looked as good as ever. The offensive line limited their penalties, letting us sustain a few drives early on. Tank and Diggs both stepped up again. It was a good, complete game from them.
    – The defense did its part all around with an absolutely dominant performance. WAJ had a great game with three sacks and a deflection that led to a pick. We came up with four forced turnovers as well, making Drake Maye’s first start as uncomfortable as possible. The offense was consistently put in great field position, and that was all because of the defense.
    – After a slow end to the first half, we came out firing in the second. We’ve had struggles all season with second-half momentum, but today we managed to bounce back.
    – Big shoutout to Calen Bullock for a pick, a fumble recovery, and good coverage overall today.

    The Bad:
    – We left up a couple of opportunities in the red zone in the first half, which seemed to give way to a stagnant offense towards the end of the second quarter.
    – Dalton Schultz hasn’t looked good this season. Today was probably his worst game.
    – After an alright start to the season, Kenyon Green’s struggles have resurfaced. He’ll need to be replaced next season.

    The Ugly:
    – We had some good runs today, and Mixon looked pretty good coming back, but our run blocking remains woefully inconsistent. The numbers today look amazing, but if you take away the two big runs, we’re still getting stopped early on average. We have good running talent, but the blocking needs to improve for us to make the run game a reliable part of our regular offense.

The end of the first half led to some dooming, but honestly we had control for pretty much all of the game. Drake Maye had a decent first start and the Pats got some scores on us, but we stifled them early and often on defense, and on offense we mostly took advantage of the opportunities we were given. Two of our non-scoring drives were because of a rare missed FG and bobbled catch that turned into a pick. It was a very strong performance overall, and even though it was against a really bad team playing a rookie QB in his first start, good teams win games like this comfortably.

  7. Complete team win, CJ was good as usual and didn’t have to be Superman today. Feels good man.

  8. So how many “curses” did we break today?

    The Texans had these curses:

1 – The Texans had never won at New England. They’ve had seven losses, including two Divisional Playoff game losses (2006, 2012, 2012 Playoffs, 2016, 2016 Playoffs, 2017 and 2018).

**2 -** The Texans had not beaten a dozen teams in their place of business.

    What else?

  9. It’s nice to have a game that isn’t a complete on the edge close call. Mixon looked good, Dell and Diggs stepped up in Collins’ absence, defense swarmed, swermed, and everything in between, and yeah. Next week is gonna be tough, but Autry is coming back, so that’s good. Can’t wait.

EDIT: Looks we got the A-Team for commentary on the Green Bay game next week. (Gonna be a big deal getting Nantz and Romo on the call.)

  10. Patriots defense is pretty solid only giving up 20 PPG so good job dumping 41 on them.

Outside of some annoying blitz calls by the defense is was an all round great game by the team.

  11. No trap game today boys! Finally a good decisive win. Offense and Defense did their parts as well. Let’s keep this momentum to next week at Lambeau. Go Texans!!

  12. Exactly the game I wanted to see today. We didn’t shoot ourselves in the foot with stupid penalties and we didn’t lay down when the momentum shifted their way. I’m comfortable enough to say we’ve got a contender this season.

  13. The CBS pre/post game show is so much better with JJ and Matt Ryan on there now. Bill Cowher seems to play well off their intensity.
