we shut down their preseason win streak going back to 2022!!
LGK!! Cant wait for October 22nd!
I wanted to see Kolek
Randle looked heated
Damn there’s actually some beef between Donte and the coaches lmaoooo
Donte jawing at Rick Brunson?
Thibs thought the preseason is the in season tournament
LMAO Donte Salty AF, just yelled I was talkin to Thibs.
Big Ragu got heat with Rick Brunson? Oh no…
I think brunson’s dad was mad about what he said about “that’s what happens when you run the show” bc divo said “I was talking to thibs” at the end
It was muted but did big Brunson (coach) and divencenzo just beef?
Looked like an aggressive exchange after the game
Just hope Mikal gets his shot back when the regular season starts. Don’t know why he switched his form
what a perfectly cromulent pre-season game
We might not lose a game this season
JB calling Donte right now lmaooo
Anyone of the clip of the post game interaction I only have espn
y’all saw donte and rick brunson had to get separated 💔
KNICKS WIN
Kolek with some actual nba intensity would’ve been nice to see
I don’t think Donte will be getting invited to family dinner anytime soon
The trade was too close to the season and this game was too close to the trade. Gonna need a clip of what happened
Donte told Brunson “I was talking to thibs” and then Rick started walking over questioning him – it’s possible he didn’t think it was directed toward thibs and became confrontational
I’ve seen enough. 82-0
Donte super hurt by that trade lol
Yo some of you guys should be ashamed of yourselves the way you were acting in the game thread. It’s pre freaking season lol.
We never losing again.
We will never lose
So confused by Rick & Donte at the end there, people were having to hold Rick back wtf
if divo is gonna be this salty he might be an opp
Idk if hart keeps this up he’s a major weak spot in the starting 5
OG I thought I couldn’t love you anymore
Bridges, I think he’s slowly finding his was and will be a terror soon enough on the offensive end. Defensively I have no worries
JB is jb and sometimes he could share the ball more and he’ll be perfect for real
KAT massive rebounds which I why I feel like we don’t need to start Hart anymore. We need offensive fire power
Defensively the starters looked good, especially KAT for being such a late signing, the offense will pick up with more time to gel. KAT & JB have to learn each others tendencies on those passes, Hart has to find some ways to keep defenses honest and not go scoreless, and Mikal just has to get into rhythm. OG had a perfect game
Offensively the bench looked great, defense will improve, but I was impressed with the rebounding and how clogged we made those passing lanes
We got a contender in the making
Our bigs did a good job on Naz
Sims- still not great!
-Putting aside the whole trash talk thing, it was hard watching Donte ball in another uni.
-KAT seems to be matching his energy with the crowd, and that bodes well (as long as he plays well).
-Bridges was a little passive at points, but when he got more aggressive he and the offense improved. We need him to bring it on both ends, we’re not deep enough for him to not be a big contributor.
B level night.
Early on was stagnant offense, no ball movement with the starters. The common trend I’m seeing is we always start the 1st very slow and then make a push late 2nd quarter and 3rd. I saw this last year too, only OG came out ready tonight. Don’t like slow starts and coming back from behind
Kat needs to start making 3s, no more excuses. Idk if legs are tired, but I don’t like consistent missed open 3s over every preseason game. Not enough two man game with Brunson/Kat either – it seems we need to get KAT going as early as possible in the game. He gets so much more confident and plays harder once he sees a 3 fall.
Hart still looks very rusty and out of shape. He didn’t come to ready to start the season, unless he’s taking it really, really easy in preseason games. He’s pushing fast breaks but really slow on rebounds. I can see precious or Mcbride starting at times over hart
Shamet and Payne seem to be rounding out the bench unit, like what I see with them as back court. They are unselfishly shooting and shamets defense was great tonight. There were a few minutes the Knicks bench made a run on the timbs starters but that also allowed ant to get hot. Something to watch for against players like Luka or Shai
Sims finally had a good night. Aside from fouls, he seems to be going up stronger, keeping his head up. I still think hukporti may fit better overall though
Rebounding was a bit better tonight, but we really need hart to box out or be more active. Lots of butterfingers tonight and ball dropping
I see a Timbs pushed pace and that poked holes in the mikal / OG switch defense. Faster teams will exploit this like the Pacers.
No kolek and minimal hukporti tonight. Overall, if the bench can consistently give 30 points, this will be great.
So far, it seems both team got better with the trade and benefitted in different ways.
If the knicks can knock down open 3s, these preseason games would be absolute blowouts
I know it’s essentially sacrilegious to say anything negative about Donte, but I don’t think the trash talking tonight was ‘all in good fun’. I think he is upset by the trade, and he’s coming across like an asshole. We are better after the trade, and this dude needs to be a professional and move on. I’ll take Mikal and KAT over him 10/10 times.
Rick and Divo have known each other for a long time, that’s just some fam jam
Imagine Landry Shamet comes in this year and breaks the 3pt record set by Divo last season lol
I love Donte with the Knicks. But eh ain’t a Knicks anymore. So fuck him Let’s go Rick Brunson 😂
Don’t care about the “beef” tbh. Appreciate Randle and Divo for what they did, but now they are the enemy along with every player wearing a different jersey. It’s a tough business, and sometimes feelings get hurt. But at the end of the day, they are all getting paid millions to play a game. They will be fine lol.
