  1. As a bengals fan, glad that we won but it wasnโ€™t a pretty win.
We still have LOTS of room for improvement, and hopefully we can turn our season around.

  2. On the road, sitting at 1-4 mainly because you could not take advantage of opponents mistakes or you bungled away games with your own mistakes, its a win i'll take. No one will mistake the Giant offense for the KC Chiefs but they have played solid above average defense. We have the Browns, Eagles and Raiders up coming. Those are winnable games given that we nearly beat KC on the road and the Ravens at home. Then Ravens and Chargers to take us to the bye week. The team has shown (at least on offense) that it can score points on anyone if Burrow has a big game. The defense while not good does show signs of life at times though they still cant stop the run effectively. We still cant run the ball well and it pains me to see how well Joe Mixon is playing for the Titans. i am not convinced any of our backs are as good as Mixon.
This team needs to go on a winning streak if we want any chance at the playoffs. Theres enough talent there to do so but i dont know about our coaching. We need to go 4-1 minimum and beat the Ravens and the Browns. That would put us at 6-5 at the bye. We would still be in the race for the AFC North as well. Personally i dont think the Bengals can do it. Beating the Ravens on the road is a tall order. Plus the Browns whether they are good or bad managed to beat the Bengals. Its like the football gods say that if you are coached by Zac Taylor you will start the season 0-2 (or 0-3 this year) and you will lose both games to the Browns even though the Browns are in total disarray.
I'd like to say i'm wrong but i dont think the Bengals can do it. Taylor dooms the Bengals every year with not having them ready to play to start the year. Yes, Joe was not 100% with the calf one year and then he missed camp right before the start of the season with the appendix and another year he was still recovering from the ACL. But 1-11?? But really, the only year he should not have played to start was last year with his bad calf. He should have sat out at least the first 2 games.
Like i said i'll take the win but other than a win against a bad Giants team it does not say anything about the Bengals chances the rest of the year.
