Dropping Rice for Rizzo I get and dropping Ellis also makes sense considering Stanton has been our biggest on base concern and he’s been fine
Overall not a horrible roster but we’ll just have to see how the games go and how the lineups are constructed
This is the best roster we have except for Nestor who I guess is not ready
Shocked at Rizzo being there, I hope he is 100%. Also weird to list Jazz as “utility” when he’s our starting 3b, lol

If Rizzo is healthy enough to be on the roster, he’s healthy enough to start.
Given Cleveland’s struggles against RHP this year (.685 OPS, 25th in MLB), Stroman is a good fit if we need a long reliever. Especially since we’re using both Gil and Schmidt in the rotation.
Replacing Rice with Rizzo is fine. Hopefully Anthony is feeling up for the challenge. I don’t know how much he’s going to play.
I wonder if Berti is sliding back into the pinch-runner role we saw him holding in September. So we don’t really need Ellis anymore.

Starting Anthony Rizzo would be a mistake. He makes the lineup less athletic and Cabrera is better
Glad to see Rizzo on there instead of Rice, but I truly think unless Rizzo is feeling really great, keeping Berti at first is the right move at the moment. He has looked AWESOME at first and he’s had good at bats. I know Rizzo is a leader, but he hasn’t been playing, and he’s definitely not 100%. I think at this moment, Berti gives us a better chance to win.
Hopefully Cortes is good to go if we make the WS cause Mayza fucking sucks.
I may end up eating my words, but I am confident that Stroman will be able to step it up in the big games.

I’d say this locks in Berti as the PR. I understand keeping Grisham, but Ellis as another PR would have made sense too.
More than 2 weeks after Rizzos Injury, do you think he should be good to start or will be coming off from the bench?

Hopefully Rizzo can empty the tank these games. A few porchjobs and scoops will go a long way.
Stroman will be a good long relief option, which very well could happen when Rodon, Schmidt, and Gil start.
