Some dudes just can’t get the job done in the NFL. I’m sure he’s a decent person but he’s not an NFL caliber WR.
He did catch that one wide open touchdown pass against the Eagles…
Yeah it’s strange. The triats that made him desirable in college has completely disappeared. I mean there is not one thing he does that carried over from his collegial days that is even borderline elite.
He disappeared becuase the NFL is too big and fast of a game for him. He played at a very small school Western Michigan and it’s hard to make the jump from that small of competition to being an NFL WR especially even harder to being an NFL WR on a team being the annual Super Bowl favorite with very high expectations
Some guys skills just don’t translate
Tonnes of teams are dealing with 1st round busts year after year. 2nd round guy… it happens
Is that the 2024 chiefs boxed daily calendar? I have the same thing
In my opinion, he made a ton of money with his athletic testing. We’ve never really seen that level of athleticism from him in the NFL. He just doesn’t look like he has it
I also definitely think there is something mental holding him back.
Ooofff second rounder? Ughhh
he didnt go anywhere and thats the problem, his talent stayed at Western Michigan
His hands have since melted.
Forget his college stats, where did rookie Skyy Moore go?
Time to trade or cut him. Whatever is the best financially for the Chiefs.
I know it’s revisionist history now but we could have had Trey McBride who went one pick after 🙁
I actually had him on the phone to ask, but he dropped the call.
He also had one of the lowest drop rates
BUM
I maintain that our offense started to gel last year when/after he went down with injury. Not only does he not get open, but he does nothing to spring other players open, and might even screw up timing, spacing of everything. It’s like playing 10 vs 11 with him on the field.
Still remember people were calling him the next Edelman after one game lol
He stayed in college
Who?
He’s just lost his confidence, needs to go to a team where he’ll can get reps and start over
This ain’t the MAC.
For one- skills don’t always translate.
But also I think confidence can be a huge factor. When you do so well in college and aren’t immediately a star in the NFL, it can be hard for some people to handle. Add on top of that that he was thrown into return duties as someone who had never done them before, and was put in week after week despite constant mistakes.
I’m not at all blaming anyone in KC for his downfall, but the forcing him into a role he was never meant for could absolutely not have helped, and could’ve hurt the areas that he was actually good at.

To the NFL
He has probably dropped that many passes in KC.
