Conflicted. The Yankee hater in me doesn’t like this one bit (also a big J-Ram and Kwan fan). But the shameless entertainment slave side of myself is excited for a potential Subway Series or Mookie/Ohtani vs Soto/Judge WS matchup

It’s a shame a bunch of Dutch settlers flocked to a port in a swamp on the east coast hundreds of years ago and now we have to deal with the New York Yankees

Besides a BS interference call and shaky appearance from Hill, the Yankees won that game with relatively little stress.
Soto, Stanton, Holmes, and Weaver continue to be on fire. Rodon bounced back from his last start that led to the lone Yankees playoff loss so far.
The Yankees have been playing mind games on opposing pitchers. Incredible discipline lead to numerous walks, just like against KC. However, Cleveland imploded even worse, with multiple wild pitches.
The Guardians DO NOT have the lineup to keep up with the Yankees. If their pitching staff doesn’t tighten up, this will be a short series. Cole is starting Game 2, let’s see if he can match the Game 4 gem.

I want the Guardians to break the curse so bad. I’m too young to remember when we broke our curse and was thrilled to see the Cubs, Nationals, and Rangers break their curses.
