Player of the Game : Wild Pitch
Guardians beat themselves tonight as the Yankees did not bring in a single player in scoring position.
Ramirez and Naylor are a combined 7-44 in the postseason thus far
That was certainly an effective argument for robot umpires.
Hitting with RISP is overrated.
Dodgers complain about being called villains. Meanwhile Yankee stadium is blasting Darth Vader breathing noises.
that 9 batter, 6 walk, 4 wild pitch, 2 run stretch from guardians pitching was not great. no complaints here though
Wild pitches and walks killed the guardians tonight
PLAY DAT SINATRA! 7 MORE LFG!!!
Luke Weaver is ridiculous.
Great day for New York I can imagine
The bullpen being our biggest strength is a surprise but a welcome one. Now the offense needs to get their head out of their asses with risp.
The Guardians tie the Rick Ankiel Game for wild pitches in a playoff game, with 5.
Very happy for Rodon, I want him to be great and he has handle NY better than most.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a playoff game where a team won who never got a hit with RISP.
Win or lose, Id really just like to see the Guardians playing some better baseball tomorrow.
I dont think thats too much to ask.
The crowd singing 😭
I felt so bad for Cantillo lol.
This comment was just pitched into the dirt
Still have not gotten the big game opening hit in the playoffs so far. Has me a little worried. With the amount of traffic we have had all Postseason you would think we would have scored more runs… Stanton. Weaver. Soto. Wild Pitches. Guess thats all you need.
Really proud of Rodon
That looked like it had the potential to get ugly and embarassing for Cleveland. They were lucky to only give up 5. I think they might feel pretty good going into tomorrow. A lot of their high leverage arms didn’t need to be used. I think if they win tomorrow they have a chance. But Bibee couldn’t throw strikes vs Detroit and Cole looks sharp.
Yanks winning with pitching this postseason so far, but the offense cannot score runs outside of solo shots and walks. Their inability to get hits with RISP makes these games much closer than they need to be, and they can easily drop games they shouldn’t if they can’t put teams away.
The story of the Yankees postseason is rapidly becoming their dominant pitching
I love how quiet this sub gets when the Yankees win lmao
At this rate I’ll have to name my first kid after Luke Weaver
Without that disastrous inning with Cantilo neither team looked great at the plate. Combined 1-11 with RISP.
