  1. Gotta work on some fundamental things still. Team is having way too hard a time moving up the ice, sustaining pressure, and that power play is way too deliberate and methodical. The Rangers don't hesitate, they see a play and they go for it. Seems like we spend most of our time on offense working for no reward, not even a shot on goal.

  2. Star forwards non existant again. Kane coasting big time for the 3rd game in a row. Ras, Copp, Motte, Chiarot all utterly useless. Motte literally wussed out of blocking the shot for the 3rd Rangers goal. PP is crap. Johansson was solid again. Wings ain't making the Play-offs.

  3. I will say, defense looked pretty good tonight. That being said, we won’t beat any good teams this year because Yzerman did nothing to improve the roster. If anything we got slightly worse. Just another mediocre season incoming. Also, you have a goalie post a 42 save shutout and don’t start him again? Poor coaching decision. That’s becoming a trend..

  4. I can’t be the only one thinking Kane is an absolute liability. Cant win a battle, he ruins the flow on the first line. Positives are Albert looks great so does Holl. Raymond and Larkin need to play together.

  5. Our third line is a 4th line. Kane is being paid to coast and lose every board battle. He is dragging Larkin down. Raymond and Larkin must always be together. Defence looked good tbh. Lyon should of had the first and third goal imo. Now we have to verse a hungry Nashville who is looking for their first win of the season. Hopefully tarasenko tries for more than 2 shifts next game.

  6. I feel like the only way we win games is if the other teams dosent play up to there standards we have no standards to play up to coach needs to light a fire under the guys

  7. The races to the puck were crisp. The entries in the zone were crisp. Blocked shots help a lot. Everything else needs time in the fryer. Please fix it. Ray and burger are the best players on the team in that aspect right now.

  8. Too many forced passes again. Turning puck over immediately in ozone. Similar to last year really. Tendy was fine. Defense was good enough. Offense just couldn’t get it going. I know we’re a rush team but you don’t have to play as much defense if you spend more time in the ozone. Oh… faceoffs killed us tonight. Probably the deciding factor honestly.

  9. Team needs to keep it simple. Just work harder on 1 on 1 battles. Generate traffic in front of the net! Lyon wasn’t bad tonight. Cam and Lyon will be good but they need everyone else to get going. Call up Kasper

  10. Might be time to trade Bergren and Veleno for a top 4 D. Where are all of the Bergren apologists??? Dude was belly down on the ice most of the night.

  11. according to hockeystatcards, the analytics, and the eye test, Pat Kane was the Wings best player tonight. and according to the analytics and eye test, the Wings straight up outplayed the Rangers at 5v5 tonight, in their building. yet read some of the replies here and on twitter from the bad faith dishonest 'Wings fans' going out of their way to trash Kane and say the lines aren't working, etc. we get it, you want Raymond w Larkin. Lalonde and Yzerman want him w Larkin too. but the actual team play so far strongly indicates that the team is best when Kane is on the top line. and certainly Kane is best when w Larkin, and the difference between him w Larkin and w Compher is so severe the team can probably not afford to do it. Raymond can carry that 2nd line, from what i've seen. it won't be as easy, but he can do it.

So do you want the team to be best, or do you want Raymond to get easier numbers? Pick one. but don't call yourself a Wings fan if you care more about his numbers than about the team. and don't call yourself a Wings fan if you are trashing a member of the Red Wings and lying about his play to suit your agenda.

  12. I woke up in the middle of the night and realized I could watch the game for a bit. Watched the equalizer at the end of the first and decided to watch the second period and I was so impressed by the Red Wings! Unfortunately the Rangers have a goalie who’s elite most nights.😅 If they played like trash in the first and third period I get all the complaints, otherwise I’m kind of puzzled. It’s not like they were playing against a bad team.

  13. I dont think Alex Tanguay knows how to run a powerplay. And Lalondes decisions as far as who goes where cough* didnt start Talbot tonight cough* needs to be studied at this point. the man is blind to reality. These coaches have a really good team that they just do not know how to manage and use unfortunately. Let me guess, there solution for the Next game will be Rasmussen on the top line and Power play 1. Sounds about newsy. 🤡 's

  14. God our pretend fanbase is a joke. The team plays one game against a top 5 NHL team and suddenly they know everything about hockey. Igor probably robbed 2-3 goals and was hot tonight. Move on and keep working hard. This team can win the hard ones but you have to able to accept a loss from a good team without bashing someone you supposedly support every single loss of the season.

  15. I thought Wings played pretty well actually. The better of the two teams. Out chanced them and had them hemmed in a few times there during the game. Gotta stay out of that penalty box because their PP is so elite.

Difference between a good team compared to a cup contender… Rangers still found a way to win even though 5on5 play though Detroit was the better team, rangers capitalized on their PP’s.

Anyways keep on grinding here.. they definitely need some points outa the next games. Schedule ain’t getting any easier just yet

  16. It was a good game, by both teams. Plain and simple, it's pretty damn hard to win any game only scoring one goal.

The Rangers were great when they were a man up, and they were also great in open space. Their counter attack was exceptional and they made us pay for not getting pucks in deep. We had a decent game, but our offense is still sputtering a bit. We will start to score, hopefully soon.

You could chalk this up to a team that's played mostly together for 4-5 seasons vs a team that's been jumbled around for the last three seasons aside from 5-6 guys. We're trending in the right direction, just REALLY hoping we find our footing soon.

  17. This team needs a second line center and defensive depth to get to the playoffs. Problem is Stevie has some bad signings/trades (Holl, Husso, Compher and Copp would be 3C, 4C on any other team) so they can’t add quality depth to the organization.

  18. I don't get why the hell you start Lyon when Talbot blanked Pitt he earned the start against NY rangers now will lose 4-5 in a row and here we go again.i just don't understand what Stevie y is doing doesn't make sense.

  19. Rasmussen needs to go. Immediately. Call up Kasper and put him in Ras' shot because the big man is ineffective. He pick
Lists puck battles, their blind passes which end up on the other teams stick and he isn't even hitting anybody. He brings morning for such a big frame. It's painful to watch him just give the puck away and end up on his ass. Berggren had a few really good chances and carried his line–tradng him would be dumb. Add Kasper to that line and things will happen for the 4th line
