My prediction is Buehler. He will have to take a cheap 1 yr prove it deal with lots of incentives. Wouldn’t surprise me if they also bring Scherzer back on a really cheap base salary 1 yr deal with lots of incentives for innings pitched.
I’m not certain on my math, but I assume we’ve got about $60M to spend. I’m thinking $25 on a starter, $17 on two relievers, and $18 on a DH. I think that’s doable and will make a huge difference if done right.
