  1. sucks for Brown but he plays a position that we’re deep at, Swider provides more depth at the 3.

  2. Already deep at the position he plays, and to be honest, Kendall was hot garbage. He could jump, and ***looked*** like he could be a good basketball player from an athletic standpoint, but his actual basketball skills were really, really poor.

Wish him luck elsewhere. Seemed like a good teammate.

  3. Unfortunately, he never really developed an NBA skill of any kind. Swider can shoot, so he got the nod.

  4. It makes sense. Got Tyrese, TJ, and 3rd string Nembhard who is honestly more of a natural PG if we’re being honest. Also Tristen Newton as 4th string

And Cole is just a better player tbh

  5. Enrique is the better player and I expect him to be up before the contract guarantee date. Being young they probably value him getting reps everyday vs practicing with the first team.

  6. Sort of an interesting turn of events over the last 8 months for Kendall. He had a pretty solid G-League season (his first full season after being injured as a rookie) before getting bumped to a main roster contract…then he had a poor Summer League which seemed to start turning the gears for them looking at alternatives for the 14th/15th man. Swider is no world-beater by any means, so it says alot about their view of Kendall for them to move on from him at this point.

He’s still extremely young (won’t turn 22 until next May), but the jumpshot just didn’t show any sort of progression from his rookie year until now. Outside of his straight line speed, size, and athleticism, there wasn’t much in the way of actual basketball skill that was going to allow him to stick on an NBA floor.

I like them taking a swing on a raw toolsy player in the 2nd round. This one (like most of them) just didn’t work out.
