Pete Alonso has missed 24 games in 6 years as a Met.

He's appeared in just over 97% of regular season games (and I'd assume 100% of postseason games) since the start of his rookie year. Durability? Look no further

  1. I don’t think most people really understand how productive Pete has been for us year in year out the guy puts up monster numbers

  2. I’ve always said Pete was durable and better defensively than initially advertised, my issue was more a symptom of his over offensive game took longer to recover after his injury in Atlanta and I think that hampered his overall offensive game which is more diverse than he gets credit when he’s hitting on all cylinders, I also feel like Buck Showalter did him no favors quelling the LFGM energy in 2023 also, that plays heavily on players mental and morale. I see similar in Alvarez who I see some are souring on, not weighing the fact that he’s a catcher, he has that on his plate and he’s also missed a significant time with injury, recovery takes longer than the IL Stint and Alvarez might not be fully back to himself until next season, he has his defense at Catcher to be mindful of also.

  3. Until this year he was 40 homers every non COVID shortened season. That’s all you can ask for a player of his archetype, although he is showing flashes that he’s more than just a slugger. He’s not your classic heart of the order #3 hitter that can do everything, he’s a big bopper. He’s more like Darryl than Keith or Carter but because of his rookie season he’s supposed to be an all around superstar like hate it so say it – judge. Lindor is our stud, Pete has a very specific role supporting him.

  4. The dude is a tank. Remember when he flipped his car a few times and just walked away like he was completely unfazed? He can’t be broken
