  1. The disrespect is actually unbelievable here, I expected him in the 20s but THIRTY SEVEN? Wtf is that.

Meanwhile famous playoff choker and under performer Halliburton is ranked 16.

Actually insane to put Trae at 37.

  2. Dude could average 20 APG and the league would still pretend that his defense outweighs that. What the media did to Trae after the firing of El Pee should be studied after Trae retires. Generational malpractice by all of sports media.

  3. The contrast in tone between Trae’s and Dejounte’s section is pretty hilarious.  They both played on the same team and had a net -5.8 rating together on the court but only in Trae’s section does it mention how concerning the Hawks record last year was.  As if it was all his fault.  Meanwhile it doesn’t mention how Dejounte’s turnstile POA defense exasperated our defensive issues, or his impact on our team at all, and only focuses on how good he should be with New Orleans.

The NBA media is the worst part about being an NBA fan.  Most are an embarrassment to reporting.

  4. Brunson at 12… dame way above Trae…. Are you genuinely telling me that espn would rather have either if these guys on their team not just more than trae, but like wayyyyy more than him

  5. This team is slept on nationally. Guarantee by January Jalen gets in the conversation for most improved (again) and Risacher is a ROY contender. There’s a reasonable chance this team contends for a 4-6 seed if everything breaks right.

  6. I’m convinced that if Trae Young just buzzed his hair last year or something, he would be given significantly more respect.

  7. Most underrated superstar the league has ever seen. He’s the only person in nba history to put up his stats and miss out on Allstar and All NBA continuously…the media (influences the vast majority of casual fans) and coaches just don’t rate him but swoon over Hali who does the same thing but at a smaller scoring responsibility…makes sense why Trae talks in envy of that pacers situation, Hali is in.

  8. seems about right tbh. His placement near Ingram is illustrative, really similar profiles: extremely highly paid players who can put up gaudy numbers but the outcomes and underlying statistics really fail to impress, little to no trade value, missed quite a few games last year.

*Scottie Barnes, Rudy Gobert, Kawhi Leonard all listed in front of Trae*

    “Okay I’m not reading this”

  10. I don’t get being bothered by “disrespect” when we went 36-46 last season. Everyone on the team should feel like they have a lot to improve on because they do.

  11. I am surprised they had him this high. Not sure how guys like Kyrie, Barnes, Murray, Butler and Fox are rated better.
