Racking my brain and can’t figure it out. What is the significance of dropping Boras?
I don’t really think it matters. He has two years left on his contract, and no one is getting into a bidding war in two years for 35 year old Nick Castellanos who has already been declining for three years.
Obviously Nick isn’t high up the totem pole on Boras’ list. But considering how back he botched Harper’s negotiations (to our benefit), drummed up the stupid extension narrative with Harper, and the other mess ups Boras has had, it isn’t surprising.
