I wouldn’t expect the city connect since most teams didn’t reveal them till before the season was close to starting? Also could be them doing another hat/shirt launch or maybe finally having the 2000-2012 jerseys finally available to purchase since we haven’t been able to buy them (in my recent memory).
I don’t see it being any sort of on field product. You’d think MLB/Nike would want to wait for the offseason to start pushing out the new city connects. I’m sure they’ve got that all scheduled. Probably just another $125 hat.
Probably just a special merch drop.

If they follow past patterns from other MLB clubs, City Connects won’t be revealed until shortly before they wear them on the field.
If this is an official alternative jersey reveal, I can’t see them doing anything until after the World Series … most likely Fan Fest.
All that said, this is probably kicking off something for a 25 year anniversary or 20 year recognition if the 05 NL Champs.
Maybe the 00s logo in current colors?
I’ve said before that if MLB would just scrap the city connect thing and do a carbon copy of NHL reverse retro instead, it would print money.
That jersey style in the oilers color scheme is no exception.

I doubt they would reuse it for city connect.
My main guess would be script jersey with low light, or a special black script one off you might see in stores.
Perhaps new brick red uniforms?
The 2000 black and brick red and criminally underrated, if that’s what they’re bringing back, that’s incredible
