  1. Playoff Stanton is crazy. In MLB playoffs history, there are only FOUR players with +15 homers/+30 RBI and +1.000 OPS. Bryce Harper, Carlos Beltran, Babe Ruth and Giancarlo Stanton! Another crazy stat is only Babe Ruth has a better HR to at-bat ratio in his playoff career.

  2. Is there another example of a player who is one of the highest paid, constantly hurt, a shell of his former self for the 100 or so games he is healthy for and plays, consistently costing their team runs and making outs on the bases… But then is completely worth every penny in the playoffs?

Like seriously. If Stanton keeps doing this, leads the team to a championship. Isn't that trade looked upon completely differently? The word I hear used to describe him most often is albatross. He hinders the team from making some moves, can't get out of the contract, untradeable. And now he's on his way to having been worth every single penny. Also helping his HOF argument a TON.

  3. Great home run by Stanton but what a terrible pitch, you have a guy down in the count 1-2 and you refuse to go out of the strikezone and hope he chases, that’s minor league baseball stuff. You throw fastball after fastball that are average Velo btw one after another. What do you expect the outcome to be?

  4. How many FB are you going to throw? After playing with heat and getting away with it (that swing and miss on the second heater was enough), bucklers, changes down and away, dumb big league pitchers….

  5. I've always liked Stanton and, while I always wished he was injured less, I was never as much of a hater as a lot of the fanbase have been to him. If he could stay healthy, he'd be one of the all time home run hitters. No one hits them like he does, especially in modern baseball.

Well, what do y'all haters have to say now? He's pretty much earned his contract anytime the Yankees are playing in the playoffs. He is unreal.
