If trading a position player, I'd rather see Arozarena be traded as part of acquiring a 3Bman. Get another LH bat in the OF or perhaps Canzone really steps up.
I love his energy but I'd be ok to trade him. I'd rather trade him than almost any other starter.
Milwaukee might be a good trade partner that way the Brewers can keep Ortiz at 3rd and replace Adames with JP. I'm not sure what the Brewers would send back though.
chasing power is death to guys like jp.
his 2023 wasn't a full year. look at the splits. it was really just a great last 3 months. the first 3 months were okay.
his inconsistency comes from his setup. his bat position pointing at the pitcher creates a timing problem.
he needs to change his setup.
