  1. I wasn't crazy about Diaz pitcing the 9th, especially after the Mets padded the lead. Maton could handle a 6 run lead. There's a good chance Manea could go 7 strong, and he could've used Diaz to pitch 2 innings in game 6. The good thing is….Edwin only threw 22 pitches, so Mendoza still might use him for 2 innings in game 6. It's a completely different series now….Dodgers look like mortal humans now that they're seeing strikes thrown at them, and Mets pitchers look like they've adjusted to that. Make them hit the ball.

  2. If the Mets win 2 more games against the Dodgers, they are in the 2024 World Series. But the Mets lose to the Dodgers in Game 6 or 7, their season is over.

  3. The Mets bullpen is such a mess. We had to use Reed, Stanek and Diaz for multiple innings all with comfortable leads, perfect timing for someone like Ottavino, if we had him, to come in and eat a couple of innings, but they chose to keep Acuna instead, an extra infielder. We know Butto, Maton and Megill can't get the job done and can't use the lone lefty, Young, in a high leverage situation. Also, what's with Senga? Wasn't he available? Is he just taking up a roster spot?

  4. I COULD HEAR THE METS FANS SINGING STAYING ALIVE BY THE BEE GEES 😅IM NOT WORRI3D ABOUT GAME 6 – THE ONE THAT DID A HECK OF A JOB IS STEVE COHEN BY PAYING HUGE DOLLARS TO NOT LET THE METS LOOK EMBARRASSED IN CITI FIELD 🤔

  5. No magic here. This was the Dodgers grabbing the Mets by the collar, landing 2 consecutive hard right hooks and going for a third when the Mets grabbed their fist mid-punch, staring the Dodgers down for a second, spitting the blood out of their mouth and then coming back with a massive uppercut.

  6. FINKELSTEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LFGM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Happy with the result of course. That relieved a lot of tension from the past three days. But it’s a hard road ahead in LA. One game at a time. LFGM !!

  8. Flaherty was averaging 4 mph less on his fastball than during the regular season, and 3 mph less than game 1. Ohtani not scoring in the first inning on the ground ball to Lindor, when Lindor and McNeil were playing back (to concede the run, in order to prevent a big inning). Did you see Betts jogging on the double down the right field line, which scored another run? Anyway, this was great for mets fans (like me), to not be walking away totally dejected, after three total blowouts. It will also be good for the players, going into the next season. Dodgers have class. Look at how many people are walking away in a total different disposition, vs if they didn't have a game like today's game, to add to the team's experience, for future-playoff games. Theyneed to get Suziki if he is going to be able to be eligible to move from Japan to the USA. He is supposed to be the best pitcher of the Japan team that won the WBC! Better than Senga, Ohtani, and Yamamoto….
