Matthew Stafford has no chance as Maxx Crosby sacks the Rams QB!
Minshew Replaces O’Connell

Second-year quarterback Aidan O’Connell made his second consecutive start for the Silver and Black but played only two offensive series before leaving the game with a right thumb injury. O’Connell was 6-of-10 for 52 yards on those two possessions, which both ended in punts.

Gardner Minshew II replaced O’Connell and played the rest of the half. The Rams took a 14-3 lead but a Daniel Carlson field goal as time expired cut the Raiders’ deficit to one possession entering the break.

Big Play Brock

With veteran wide receiver Jakobi Meyers out for the second straight game, the Raiders’ pass game leaned heavily on rookie tight end Brock Bowers. Bowers’ 25-yard catch-and-run on the Raiders’ third drive of the game was the longest play of the half by either team. It set up kicker Daniel Carlson for a successful 38-yard field goal.

Bowers finished the half with six receptions for 64 yards and now has the NFL record for most receptions (43) by a tight end in their first seven career games.

The Los Angeles Rams and Las Vegas Raiders will do battle at SoFi Stadium in Week 7, with both teams looking to get back on the winning track. Ahead of the game, both teams released their final injury report on Friday and a total of three players have been ruled out, six are questionable, and one is doubtful.

The Raiders have been riddled with injuries this season and have more concerns in Week 7. With defensive lineman Christian Wilkins already sidelined for what might be the rest of the season, both defensive linemen Adam Butler and John Jenkins are questionable. Jenkins has a better chance to play than Butler, though, as the former turned in a full session on Friday while the latter did not practice.

Two other starters, guard Dylan Parham and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, are out and doubtful, respectively. A doubtful tag usually means the player won’t suit up, so Meyers is essentially out, leaving Las Vegas even thinner at wide receiver in the wake of the Davante Adams trade. Fellow guard Jordan Meredith is expected to start in place of Parham.

The Rams have a better situation overall but also have a pair of question marks at wide receiver. Both Jordan Whittington and Cooper Kupp are questionable after turning in limited practices all week. Guard Joe Noteboom did the same, which likely means he’ll need another week to be activated from injured reserve.

Now, the full list of injury designations for the Raiders and Rams ahead of their showdown on Sunday.

  1. This is why we keep going backwards. K Miller had surgery and had no time to lift heavy. Line push heavy weight to push grown men around. We don’t rid of him with NO REAL REPLACEMENT FOR HIM.

  2. Not really sure bout the fg discrepancy. After the penalty i get the logic in giving the d to stop the rams and give the offense a shot to win the game. Atvthe same time doesnt really make sense to think that we had any better shot to go for it on 4th down
