Hot take. Avs trade Georgiev and picks to Anaheim for Gibson with Anaheim retaining half of Gibson’s salary which has two more years on it after the current season. It makes sense for both teams as the Ducks have around $21M in cap space and a backup goalie making $6.4M on a team that has zero chance currently at making a run at anything.
