Chiefs handle 49ers, Kansas City’s ugly wins, Is Purdy to blame for the loss? | FIRST THINGS FIRST

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 28-18 to improve to 6-0 on the season. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers fall to 3-4 behind Brock Purdy’s 3 INTs. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes ask if Purdy is to blame for the 49ers losses, and if the Chiefs’ ugly wins make them more dangerous.

  1. Haven’t watched it yet but I don’t want to hear Brou or Wildes make excuses for Purdy’s play yesterday and him not having all of his weapons. Brou has tried for weeks to say “Purdy is putting up better individual numbers than Mahomes”! Don’t try to use the same excuse that you previously tried arguing against Nick with Mahomes, just because it was suddenly an even playing field for the 2 QB’s yesterday. It’s about winning the games. When you’ve had as much postseason success as Mahomes and the Chiefs have had, you are going to be given the benefit of the doubt. As long as you are finding ways to win the games. We did similar arguments for Tom Brady all of those years. When he wasn’t playing his best during the regular season, because he had multiple super bowls that proved he knew what he was doing. For some reason, Brou and Wildes have yet to understand this concept.

  2. Everybody picked the 49ers to win the SB and Purdy to win MVP. Now they're making excuses for Purdy because his players are injured. Well Mahomes is 6-0 and all his players are injured too.🤷🏻‍♀️

  3. Best Defense 😂🤦🏽‍♂️in your world 😎 49ers are solely based on Christian McCaffrew , and for everyone praising Kyle as a genius head coach 🤦🏽‍♂️ he lacks creativity dull offense just like The Cowboys. KC isn’t any different than Pittsburgh this season

  4. Purdy is literally playing himself out of a contract. It was just a matter of time before the NFL coaches learned his tendencies and with his lack of arm talent, 49ers are in trouble

  5. I love me some Nick but Brou owned his arse today. This was an all Brou segment. Brou's holding Nick's lunch right now with his feet up.
This should have been a Nick Parade day and….he played himself.

  6. Nick praises mahomes for lowered stats but winning football but Purdy is terrible for lowered stats and winning football? According to his graphic of last year lmao

  7. Yes …in short the Cinderella story is over!!! Purdy back down to earth and the 49ers need a QB and possibly a new coach after bad losses and only wins to the bottom feeding teams! A loss to Dallas will all but stamp it as so!

  8. Purdy 100% gets the credit for the loss. When it was time to put the pain behind you and get in the end zone.. He threw a pick. Pumpkin watch??? Which is it, Brock is that bad or the defense is that good. Because it can't be both or you didn't watch that game. He shucked yesterday that does not make him terrible overall.
