  1. For the next 3 years here are my predictions for the World Series. Only time will tell with how right I am.
2025: Orioles and Phillies World Series. Orioles win in game 6.

2026: Cubs vs Yankees World Series. Cubs win in game 5.

2027: Yankees vs Cardinals World Series. Yankees win in game 7.

  2. Did not matter if the bullpen was good or not. The current roster sucked and stunk like dead fish. The whole season was either Cold Bats or Bullpen Losses. Sometimes, you got both. Look at why the Dodgers and Yankees are winning? Look and Do as the them.

  3. They key this offseason is for the training staff to adjust the offseason program and get the pitchers to stay healthy all year. I wonder if they are not running enough as leg conditioning is a big part of pitching.

  4. Everybody keeps saying the bullpen stinking is irrelevant. That is not true. Even with this Milk Toast roster, Craig Counsell still managed to turn chicken shiz into chicken salad. If the Bullpen turns over 2/3 ir 3/4 of those saves, the Cubs surpass the Brewers & win the division. Who's to blame? Jed friggin' Hoyer. He knew 2 years straight, now going on 3, the Cubs need a lights-out All-Star elite closer + depth.

  5. Adbert is not a closer, as he proved many times. Neris was a total waste of a roster spot. Hodge, Miller and Lopez were good, too bad they didn’t get them sooner. They have guys who can do the job, we’ll see if they can. Just add a legit closer and they might be good to go.

  6. Bullpen wasn’t the only problem, but it WAS the SINGLE WORST PROBLEM on this team. Cost us the playoffs for sure. Just soul-crushing defeats due to badly blown saves opportunities.
