  12. Oof, Lyon bailed us out there. they out offensed us, and out defensed us. We gotta clean shit up, cant keep expecting Lyon to win us games.

  21. There is something seriously wrong with this team. The defensive breakdowns are somehow even worse than last year despite it supposedly being the major offseason focus. San Jose somehow has a better shot share than Detroit so far, led by a defenseman Stevie inexplicably paid them a second rounder to take. Can’t win much when you’re always outshot 3 to 1. Lalonde had better be on very thin ice.

  25. Kane openly trashed Lalonde's dump and chase play 5v5 like a penalty kill everyone worry about defense first gameplan in his postgame media tonight. Felt like he was speaking for the entire team. Lalonde had the gall to say he was happy w how the team played tonight.

    This is becoming a very combustible situation very early for the Wings. The players are not happy at all and w good reason. It already looks like Ray and Cat to name two have quit on the coach and system. The players want him gone.

  30. their getting there could be worse preds finally got their first win tonight with all their new additions and talent they got their fans are probably celebrating like they won the Stanley cup from just 1 win this season so as far as the redwings slow start relax people holy💩🤷‍♂️🫤

  35. After the redwings first goal, the refs were like……"wweellll it's only fair if the team paying us, now has every chance to get back in this!"
    Then ensued perma penalty killing for the Wings lol

  36. Usually, 1-0 wins are the most exciting things in hockey (or baseball), but yeah, this was kinda boring.

    Unless you're also a baseball fan, in which case it's like a pitcher's duel.

    Alex Lyon and the Islanders defense were both unbelievably good last night.

    This is a sport where you only score 8% of the time, so 1 goal on 10 shots (10%) is actually pretty dang good.

    All in all, it's important to remember two things:

    1. WE WON. It may not have been an exciting win, but it's a win nonetheless.

    2. It's only October 23! There are still SEVENTY-SIX games left in the regular season!

  38. Lyon won that game. Lalonde sucks and been saying it for months. He can’t make a proper def line with 8 options. Put Holl on left side lol. Bench Johansson. Gus struggling from stuck on right side. Petry on second line instead of third line. Holl on the ice at all lol. I’m just a nobody fan and can create better lines than Lalonde. All that said. Look at detroits forwards. Maybe not a top 5 offense but 10 shots lol. Raymond Larkin cat tarasenko Kane and now with kasper and berg. Wtf did u do Lalonde. Def first don’t shoot the puck. Lucky win but nice goal by Kane and shutout by Lyon.
